Winners of the World's Toughest Row 2025

We are four young Swiss rowers and former competitive athletes who crossed the Atlantic as part of the World’s Toughest Row 2025. Our start was on the Canary Island of La Gomera. Our destination: Antigua in the Caribbean.

As team 44west, we set out to row across the Atlantic as fast as possible β€” and that is exactly what we achieved: we crossed the finish line as the first boat. At the same time, we continue to raise as much money as possible for the restoration of coral reefs.

The end of the race is not the end of our mission. With every contribution, we keep pushing forward our coral reef project in the Philippines.

Our crowdfunding campaign achieved an outstanding result during the race. We raised a total of CHF 42,832, nearly three times our original goal of CHF 15,000.

This success enables us, together with rrreefs, to plan and advance the 44west reef project in the Philippines.

We sincerely thank everyone who supported us before, during, and after the race. Your trust and commitment made this possible.
