Characters: Everyone!
When: October 29th - early evening and on into the night
Where: The Park, southwest quadrant
Rating: Variable!
Summary: Everyone in Paradise received an invitation to a festival in the park at the start of the event, though it's blinking again on their 3STPs to remind them to come. The whole park has been decorated for a party, and while there's fun to be had, danger looms as the hours tick by. This is the night where the monsters come alive, with all afflicted residents losing themselves to their transformations for the next three days. Will your character be on the hunt, or be the hunted?
As the sun touched the horizon, the lights in the park came alive, lanterns in the trees shining brightly against the darkening sky. Though no one was around to light them, the candles in the jack-o-lanterns crackled and burned, their flames dancing in the chilly breeze. Despite the monsters that had been terrorizing the citizens, it seemed the party was still on as a few of the local shopkeepers took their places to man the games, ready for anyone to try their luck at everything from bobbing for apples to pumpkin-carving to pie-eating.
One of the playgrounds had been moved for the evening, replaced with a dance floor surrounded by tables and chairs. There was plenty of room for party-goers to mingle, long tables covered in all kinds of treats and assorted finger foods to keep them company as the night wore on. As for drinks, they were plenty: water, sodas, alcoholic beverages, and even a few concoctions that billowed colored steam from their containers. Those were the special brews, some with fanciful effects on their drinkers while others held only bitter tastes and unpleasant results. The spirit of "trick or treat" was strong in whomever had chosen the drinks for the evening.
Lively music (appropriate for the holiday, of course) set the mood, the lighthearted intent of the party evident. That didn't mean all would stay lighthearted, especially when midnight approached, but there was fun to be had until then, right?

Date: 2012-10-30 03:05 am (UTC)A huge, and very ugly iron collar was in her hand, her fingers brushing over the smooth metal while her eyes kept tabs on the people mingling about. She was on a lookout for Sissi, whom she hadn't spoken to in weeks since their petty argument. Tron had been furious and generally had had enough of Sissi's constant complaining. As such she had lashed out in anger by insulting her guest. As the weeks went on, Tron's temper had flared down considerably enough for her Servbot to screw up his courage to have a decent talk with his master. Tron listened and took his words to heart. Indeed she hadn't been nice to Sissi by treating her like she had. Despite how Sissi acted, she was Tron's only friend and true ally she could confide with at the moment. Without her brothers, Tron was alone and a girl her age needed the support of others.
In truth Sissi likely didn't come from a world covered by an endless ocean, where life's survival rested on flying in an airship from island to island to dig up Refractors from ancient ruins. Sissi's world probably didn't even have to deal with constant rival sky pirate attacks or coming face to face with deadly Reaverbots underground. Sissi seemed to be a girl who lived the life of luxury rather than a girl who sat out in the field blasting Reaverbots and annoying Diggers named Volnutt to smithereens from the cockpit of a mecha. If Tron was in Sissi's shoes, well sure she wouldn't be able to mingle in an entirely different world either. A culture shock that's for sure.
Tron decided to make it up to Sissi by finishing up the collar in secret. If she could just find Sissi at the party and hand it to her, their friendship could start anew and hopefully start along a better path. Although Tron did admit to her Servbot she shouldn't be the one apologizing for her behavior, but rather Sissi owed her the apology. Whether she liked it or not, Tron was in for a rough night in trying to admit to her wrongs.
In the meantime, she was content at keeping next to the table currently housing the particular drinks. From that vantage point Tron could see most of the layout of the party and wouldn't have to wander around aimlessly for Sissi. It also helped that her costume came equipped with wings, so her form was levitating just above the table. Her Servbot companion in his bat costume was floating upside down near her.

Date: 2012-10-30 07:41 am (UTC)The question came from a pink-haired girl, who had come to the party mostly to try and get acquainted with the residents. She knew some people, like Odd and Sissi from back home, and she'd met other faces like the boy who called himself James. She'd only been here for over a week but she told herself to take it one step at a time.
Aelita might know of Tron because Sissi had mentioned her once, but that was it. She approached the table with the drinks, feeling pretty thirsty and having learned from past experience as well as movies that aside from the dance floor people mingled and talked near the refreshments table. When she got there, her eyes widened a bit at seeing another girl standing idly by with a...very provocative-looking costume, but she wouldn't mention it. Or, she would try not to mention it much.

Date: 2012-10-30 07:48 pm (UTC)Tron wanted to ignore Aelita in hopes she'd go away, but Sissi hadn't shown up to the party as of yet. Perhaps answering the question and getting a conversation going could kill time up until then. "All depends on when you arrived if I'm new or not. Been here two and a half months, give or take" Tron's smile wasn't that friendly but she stopped her costume's levitation and gently put her feet back onto solid ground to make easier eye contact with Aelita.

Date: 2012-10-30 09:16 pm (UTC)"Sissi? Yeah, she's staying at my living quarters momentarily. Happen to be waiting for her to arrive to this party. As for Odd we've...met." She forgot how Odd had ogled at her costume over the network and quickly shot a glance over her shoulder at the crowds. So far so good, he hadn't made his appearance yet either, and for the better. Last person Tron wanted to meet at the party was him.
"A-anyway, name's Tron. Tron Bonne. Since you know Sissi she probably told you all about me, right?"

Date: 2012-11-02 05:51 pm (UTC)As she walked along, Sissi was on constant lookout. She didn't know Tron was looking for her and she herself wasn't looking for Tron but for Odd. The tape and bandages had come from him (she'd sent Forty-One to collect it from him, making the Servbot swear it to secrecy as Sissi suspected Tron learning that Sissi had ordered her assistant to do something would just make her angrier), and Sissi wanted to both thank him and set up a time in the near future where the two of them could talk. Perhaps Aelita could join them, since she also knew what Sissi wished to speak about.
"Odd and Aelita...my future friends? It sounds too good to be true! I need to know more before I can properly adjust to interacting around them now."

Date: 2012-11-02 11:07 pm (UTC)Having left Aelita, Tron upkeep her search which was proving futile each minute. She hated playing a game of cat and mouse and the sooner Tron found Sissi the sooner she could end the stupid silence between them. Aelita wanted her to make it up to Sissi, yet Tron was having trouble fathoming words together for an apology even at that moment. What was she suppose to do, say she was sorry for being a jerk? As far as she was concerned Sissi was the guilty party, and should be the one to apologize. Damn Aelita, why did she let people talk her into this?
For a moment Tron caught a glimpse of Sissi through the crowds and began her trek towards her. She was hard to miss since Sissi was the only girl dressed up in regal looking clothes with something tied around her neck. Wait, was that tape? What idiot gave Sissi tape to fix her neck? (Thank goodness Tron was non the wiser about Number Forty-One's errand to Odd's house.) Well no matter, the sooner Sissi had the collar tape wouldn't be a problem, it was approaching her to start the apology that had Tron really fuming. Tron should have walked up and began admitting her mistake, but she found herself hurrying after her and yelling in Sissi's wake.
"Hey, you! About time you showed your face around here, I was getting tired of waiting!" Tron huffed, keeping the collar hidden behind her back.

Date: 2012-11-02 11:48 pm (UTC)"T-though it's not like I care what you do with yourself. Wouldn't have mattered if you dropped off the face of Paradise. Though I suppose I'd have to confront your friends and give testimony on why you up and poofed. Besides, I need someone to keep that moron Odd away from me" Tron chuckled a little as her voice lowered considerably to a softer, almost gentle tone. Last thing she needed was a fight onto of another fight otherwise all bets on apologizes were off for good.
"L-listen, starting another fight was not why I came all the way to the party. You and I have bigger fish to fry...you're neck concerning one of them" Tron again was searching her headspace for the proper words, and failing miserably as told be her fidgeting. Yeah, obvious Tron had never made an apology in her lifetime.

Date: 2012-10-30 03:40 am (UTC)In front of him were several empty glasses. Trying some of the drinks that appeared was rather exciting, especially when each one was different from the last. And alcohol didn't affect him. Occasionally, he'd make pieces of the candy on the tables fling themselves at random partygoers, just for a bit of fun.

Date: 2012-11-14 08:16 pm (UTC)After waiting for the sun to set and making quick work of scanning the perimeter, Sniper got closer to the scene itself, not intending to stay long- he didn't want the Medic-wolf to find their latest meal there, after all... unless said meal was the masked man. He'd make an exception, then.
RED swallowed down that thought, inwardly insisting he wasn't a monster, no matter how much he wanted the masked man dead. He scanned the rest of the party-goers from the outskirts of the festivities, keeping an eye on everyone else from a spot near a giant stuff animal.

Date: 2012-10-30 08:11 pm (UTC)Once the fun had fully set Sora made his way to the party. He slipped into the park and walked through the middle of the party. Everything was so bright and there seemed to be a good amount of people here. Hopefully he could find someone fun to play with and get a snack out of it. He was getting hungry again.
