SketchFest

Hey Three-Chambered Heart -

I got a letter in the mail earlier today from SketchFest. Unfortunately they said they had an overwhemlming response and didn't have room for us.

Sorry to be lame and post this on LiveJournal, but we had a good run, eh!

I'm really pleased with the work we did, even if it was last minute, and thank you two for being so committed!

With love and admiration,
Alisa

SENT.omgbbqwtf!!

You each owe me 21 dollars. Aahhh sorry that got so expensive. I had to send it express, but they'll get it tomorrow at noon. If I didn't send it express he was like "They'll get it Saturday or Monday" and I was like "bitch please I don't have that kind of time to spare!" so, sorry :^(

DVD

Hey laydees! I just watched the DVD, and I've gotta say, it looks really great. Marty did a fantastic job and used this totally bizarre music, and even though there's only about 8 people there, the laughter is quite generous. And the scenes look really good! I'm going to drop it in the mail after class, and I'll let you know as soon as I hear back!

So...on costumes. I was looking through my meager wardrobe when I realized I'd need to wear a sweater big enough for my time machine to fit in. And so far my only option is this high-necked wooly thing that's mostly black and dark purple. So yeah, that's what I have to work with so far. And on other things:

http://chicagosketchfest.net/appli… We should look at the actual application and make sure we're not missing anything: we should know what we're going to put on it/with it (though the "reviews and resume" part will be pretty short), think of a show title, know how we will describe ourselves, know if there are any/no scheduling conflicts, have a $50 check made out to Lukaba Productions, have the picture cd and dvd labeled, one of those big office envelopes, stamps, etc, so we can get it sent out right away and make it go fast so the postal service is all like damn, that's a fast-moving package.

Oh, and does anyone have an actual bottle of Pantene Pro-V for heavy dandruff? Is there such a shampoo? Meh, any bottle will do.

Rehearsal today and tomorrow

Katy's sched: My classes/midterms Tuesday and Wednesday are 12:30-2:20 and 4:30-5:20 on Tuesday, and 1:30-2:20 and 3:30-5:20 on Wednesday.

My sched: any time Tuesday after 10:45am but before 9pm (10k meeting) or after 10:30pm I think, and Wednesday 11:30-1:15, and after 5pm

so... does today from 2:30-3:30 and tomorrow from 12-1 work? Or from 6 to the show? I don't know. Thoughts?

Action Steps omg

~Ok, so, photos on Tuesday at 7pm, meet in Christina's room (S120)

~pre-PBR demo taping on Wednesday at 8:15pm? <-- not for sure until confirmed

~talk to sciencey major friends/think about ideas for pictures (sketches couldn't hurt)

~christina, finish scene and send it to me and Katy; Katy revise scene as see fit

~start memorizing!

~ahh we need to come up with our "unified costume" idea

~come up with a time Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon to rehearse (expect at least 45+ minutes to really plan everything out)
--> I'm around any time Tuesday after 10:45am but before 9pm (10k meeting) or after 10:30pm I think, and Wednesday 11:30-1:15, and after 5pm

~applications are due SATURDAY the 15th! How long does it take for a package to arrive in Chicago? Could we have Marty edit it Wednesday night and get it in the mail by Thursday morning? Or just pay extra for shipping if we can get it out by Friday?

SO...pictures. Are we meeting in the Currier ITC in 45 minutes or what? I'm still trying to come up with a look, but that doesn't mean I don't have some possible wearables and props picked out...'cause I does.
