YOTD-30 lemons!

Welcome to the 30 lemons community! We got the idea for this from the 30 Kisses community, which you can find here: http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=30_kisses, and the format for the themes (as well as the first few themes) came directly out of My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday. ;)

The idea and the rules are approximately the same; you sign up for a couple and using that couple, respond with your own writing or artwork to each of the 30 chosen themes. You don't have to do the themes in order if you don't wish; work however the mood strikes you, and make of the suggested themes whatever you wish.

This community is for fictional characters only (please, no Real Person slash) and is intended for adults only (no underage minors); also, we'd prefer to steer clear of shota/lolita work in which the tender age of a character is sexualized. Yaoi/slash, het and yuri are all encouraged and welcome, and flaming is not permitted, so be prepared to be open-minded and adult here. ;)
New Rule: Two(and only two) claims(except originals) per pairing is now allowed, however, if two months go by without a request for an extension, we will drop you. Please note, the moderators may keep the pairings for as long as they wish.

The Rules, or, How to Play:

1. To claim a couple, respond to this post with the subject of "request." Want a couple that someone else has already claimed? If you wait until they're finished responding to the 30 themes, that couple will become available again. :) New Rule: In your claim request, you must include a statement of your age and/or your birthyear. No authors/artists under 18 will be permitted to make a claim.

2. You can claim no more than two couples at a time; while this is intended to be a low-pressure community, you will be expected to produce some sort of fan-work (fanfic, fanart, drabble, sketch, whatever) with some regularity. We prefer that you post once a month; if two months go by, your pairing may be put back in the roster for someone else to take unless you request unless you reply to this requesting an extension.

3. We prefer that you write/draw/create new works for these themes, rather than post something you've done in the past, but if you have a previously-posted work that fits the theme, you can get away with sliding one or two old ones by us. ;) Just keep in mind that the idea is to generate new stuff.

4. Plagiarism of any kind will not be tolerated.

5. Comments are welcome! :) We want to egg our authors and artists on inspire and encourage, so please feel free to give feedback in exchange for the lemony fun! :)

6. When posting, please use this template:

for the subject line (please use characters' full names, rather than abbreviating, substituting numbers or other symbols, or mashing the names together):

8. Given the lemony nature of the challenges, please assume that all fanworks posted here are not work-safe! :)
