you may have noticed that my blog is disorganized and thematically incoherent and my tag game is weaker by the day. this is commentary on the chaos of modern existence

Shane shortly before waking Ilya up at the cottage: ‘Hmmmmm, I can’t trap him with a baby. wait let me google……okay i definitely can’t get pregnant. Hold on…..sea-horse dads?…..nevermind…..can i adopt a baby-trap?…………no I’d just have a kid……………………okay wait what if we like coached some kids? Like they wouldn’t be ours but like- we wouldn’t be able to break-up because of the kids. Am i fucking on drugs? What the fuck am i thinking……..wait………..like a team of kids but it’s like charity…………cause men leave their children all the time but it would be a really bad look to leave a charity……………….i can make a charity and it’ll have kids and we’ll help the kids……..and Ilya likes kids…………and he likes me………..and he’ll wanna stay with me forever….so he’ll be baby trapped AND we’ll be doing a good thing.* “Ilya wake up i have an idea.”
it's like, definitely still mansplaining if the man is dominating the conversation unintentionally and he would totally stop if you asked him to, actually. like, the term exists to describe a phenomenon that arises from the implicit bias that women are expected to simply be less knowledgeable about things. it doesn't matter if he's doing it on purpose or not. he does it cause he expects women to not know things or to not have any input. maybe don't fucking expect women to stand up for themselves every single time they have to have a conversation with a man because that shit happens like daily for a lot of women
genuinely, sincerely, if you are a man you need to learn to shut up when you're talking to women
was at a bar and a 50+ year old drunk white woman complimented me and my friend's outfits, told us there was a campsite up in northern maryland where a lot of gay bears go to have sex in the woods. we asked her how she knew about this and she very aggressively said "because i'm a FAG HAG!!! but i'm not allowed to say that anymore I GUESS!!!"
Shane and Ilya would have the most insane inside jokes that A) no one apart from them gets and B) just look completely ridiculous from the perspective of everyone else.
Whenever someone forgets their phone charger Ilya and Shane just look at each other and snort. "We always carry a spare one. You never know who might need one", Shane explains. Which. For some reason makes Ilya laugh every time??
Shane always takes a picture whenever they see something with a wolf, giggling to himself as he sends it to Ilya. Ilya pretends to be annoyed but secretly loves it. Very important to note that Shane also does this when they're out with the team standing two feet apart from each other. Troy once asks Ilya if he likes wolves. Ilya tells him no.
Whenever someone orders a burger Ilya asks "where are the other seven". Shane flips him off but five seconds later they're both laughing.
There also seems to be some joke involving Jurrasic Park and Scott Hunter? Wyatt tries to ask Scott once but Scott just yells "NOT YOU TOO".
Just Hollanov laughing with each other and joking around and even though nobody on the Centaurs really get it, it's nice to see the two of them just existing together and being happy and laughing at their silly little jokes.
there is a very specific type of political enlightenment when you allow yourself to acknowledge bad people can be attractive and funny and intelligent and still be bad people because those things don’t quantify morality
“i’ve never met a pretty racist” “republican makeup” etc etc is all just enforcing the idea that being conventionally unattractive is a moral failing. stop doing that. it’s an actively dangerous idea to spread
