Greetings:
Just a note to say: I'm a new member of the group and I love reading about Sherlock Holmes. You will find one of my poems I wrote about Holmes on my LJ for my first entry. I hope you will stop in and read it and enjoy it.
Otherwise, I will leave the "getting to know me" up to you.
Have a good weekend,
I have never come across any discussion about the mysterious Monday, on which Holmes wanted to arrest Moriarty and his gang. The interesting question is - what EXACTLY should have happened on this Monday to make Holmes choose that day? Why couldn't he act before? How is that he knew the exact date?
And most interesting - why the hell did he tell Moriarty about it, on their meeting at Baker-street, thus actually warning him that he will be arrested?
I can understand that perhaps Moriarty had thought that Holmes wouldn't succeed, or that he just can kill Holmes before that mysterious Monday. But why Holmes wanted to be so explicit and actually provoke Moriarty to start chasing him?
If any of you have any links to discussions on this matter, I would be very very grateful.
