SQUEE!

Remember my little Gene/Sam-Gene/Harry fic, "I Don't Want To Be Your Fool"? I entered it into two contests, one was "Out Of The Closet", for specifically homosexual romance stories, and the other was "Happy Endings Do Come True (Romance)", for any romance story with a happy ending, so long as they went through some sort of hardship first. I have to say, I wrote it mostly for the Happy Endings contest, also because I wanted to explore into the Gene/Harry relationship a little.

Well, Out of the Closet was a lose bastard of a cause, but I got the Bronze Trophy in Happy Endings!

To celebrate, and also to earn the right to dorcas_gustine's zombie!sam icon, I wrote a zombie!fic. No, I didn't steal the idea from dorcas_gustine's fic, I was commenting on her awesome icon and she said I couldn't use it until I'd killed Sam and brought him back to life. 

So I did. This is part one.

I have a feeling that I take these things far too seriously.

I need a beta for my evil!fic that I'm writing. Rated R. If you're interested in doing some beta work for me, give meh a comment and I'll let you read over what I've written so far to see if you like it. It's not really grammar/spelling issues, it's more characterisation and plot issues.

Summary: "Gene finds this job of questioning and finding the truth of His betrayal hard enough as it is, because Gene doesn't want it to be true. 'Who are you?' "
Notes: Another contest entry at storywrite.com, this time for "Impress Me". I'm pretty pleased with this, though there are major issues with it. In the finale, I didn't understand how they just allowed Sam to get away with everything the way he did; so this is sort of... pre-pub, I guess. The end is sketchy; but I can't see how Gene would enforce the consequences and punishments of mistakes and such on Ray but not on anyone else. I'm worried about that bugger called Characterisation, as I so often am.

Spoilers: 2x02, I guess, though set a v. long time after.
Summary: 'I have to know it. I have to feel it. I don't want to be the one who falls so deep and so hard for a person only to realise one day that I never mattered to them.'
Notes: Uh. Out of character, I reckon. Very much so. Unless you like, squint, and pretend. Posted it anyway because it's another fluff-but-not-fluff. Written on a whim for the "Out Of The Closet" and the "Happy Endings Do Come True (Romance)" contests over at storywrite.com. Also, I tried past-tense (wanted) for this, whereas my usual style is present (wants). Oh yeah, and this pretty much ignores the whole Gene-is-married-and-Sam-luff-Annie issue which I usually try to clamber over, into, or around.

Pimpeth The Awesome One//Somethin' I Noticed//Random Ramblings Of Series One

*points to icon* Thanks to [info]dorcas_gustine  I have an icon for almost everything. Go check 'er stuff out if you haven't already. She's (I'm assuming here, my wary personality won't let me not apologise in advance if you aren't actually a girl: leh sorry) written some fantastic Sam/Gene fanfiction, make icons that are teh sex [er, I think 80% of the icons I use on LJ were made by her], has generally amusing posts in her journal (I Am Her LJ Stalker), and just seems a really fcking AWESOME person all round.

Anyway, onto what I wanted to discuss/ramble about.

*checks* I almost had a heart attack posting this. I accidentally posted it to lifein1973 [a place I like lurking in but am still very wary of posting in and such] instead of here, freaked out since I had some random rambling that were completely stupid and idiotic and I acted like I owned the place, and so dived back in, edited like crazy, and came back out semi-alive. I'm still waiting to start crying.
