people will claim to be filled with whimsy and joy for life but then hate musicals……. the vile tongue of man will never cease lying
i think there'd be alot less discourse around "fanfic vs literature" if more people treated fanfiction as it's own medium with it's own strength and weaknesses, rather than comparing it to traditional literature, because most of what i love about fan-fiction just straight up does not work in original fiction. at all.
