to be honest i’m not sure who my favorite deltarune character is
my favorite undertale character is papyrus, but i could never really settle on a favorite in deltarune, they’re all great
i’d pick gaster but he’s probably more of an undertale character given that it’s the only actual place he’s ever been directly mentioned (plus, it feels weird since he’s hardly even a character at the moment)
but if he did count, i think gaster might just be my favorite
gaster shows the endless creativity that this fandom has with the endless different interpretations of him, be it something really stupid or something really cool… he can basically be anything you want him to be without having to worry about “is this accurate enough?” “am i writing him correctly?” and i think that’s pretty damn cool

i'd like to think that red human souls are really rare and practically nonexistent so nobody knows what trait it actually has
"it's determination!" well *no,* all human souls have determination, so wouldn't it be cool if red souls were specifically for humans to be used as vessels by a player so there's like no documentation on it whatsoever
anyway here's pre-fall gaster and frisk even though this would never logistically happen but shshhh

simple he traded his Double D's for them
the lore reason for it is because he chose that look for himself, he likes the way it looks and it helps with intimidation and stuff
the actual reason is because he looked really weird in my artstyle with shorter shoulders, they slowly got wider as i was discovering how i wanted to draw him
