Name:
Name introduced by Igelström (1851) for a mineral from Harstigen, Pajsberg, Värmland, Sweden. He first described it under the name "röd mangankisel", believing it to be an intermediate between bustamite and "mangankisel" (rhodonite) that was found at Långban, Sweden. Showed later to be identical with rhodonite.
