A layered, propulsive series exemplifying the energy and dynamism that keeps the cops-and-robbers genre so appealing. It’s a shot of pure adrenaline and hell-yeah vigor followed up with a chaser of pathos and longing, and it’s one of the best new series Netflix has released this year.

“Nemesis” asks its viewers a long-standing question: “What will the total annihilation of another cost you?” .... With all of its intense cliffhangers and sexy sequences, it’s still incredibly fun to watch Isiah and Coltrane find out what the answer is.

I really wanted to like Nemesis because the concept had potential, but the execution just didn’t hit for me. The biggest issue was Matthew Law’s performance. A lot of the emotional scenes felt forced, almost like he was reading emotions instead of actually feeling them. His facial expressions rarely matched the intensity of the situations, which made some of the dramatic moments come across as fake and **** a crime thriller, you need actors who can pull you into the tension and make you believe every reaction. Unfortunately, too many scenes felt stiff and awkward, and it took me out of the story constantly. The supporting cast tried to carry the weight, but the lack of believable emotional depth from the lead made the entire show feel less authentic than it should have **** the worst show ever, but definitely one of those series where the acting keeps you from getting fully invested.

There is a lot about Nemesis that’s clunky and cliche. But we liked the performances of both Law and Noel, and we hope that the complexity of both of their characters’ lives will be explored with more depth as the series goes along.

Nemesis is a soapy serialized thriller that embraces its emotional excesses and occasional detours of narrative ludicrousness. Some of those story choices and character decisions irritated me, and the less than ideal central casting proved a frequent liability, but I never found Nemesis to be anything less than pulpy and entertaining.

“Nemesis” hits some speed bumps, mainly with pacing, important plot development and overly familiar storylines from other popular TV shows and films. Fortunately, it makes key recoveries that reward those who keep watching. What it can’t fix, however, is who to root for.

Nemesis is still enjoyable and offers some unforgettable action sequences with daring performances; it just needs some more fine-tuning to pull off the perfect heist.

Despite the truly atrocious acting, absurd writing, and tired story line, for some reason Hollywood critics fall on their knees for this inconsequential TV show. I wonder why they feign adoration for this clearly awful production? Are they obtuse, or are they motivated by other reasons? Hmm I can't imagine.
We laughed at all this and turned the show off after about 30 minutes. It's all just hilarious.
