Sarafan ChEM-H, an interdisciplinary research institute at Stanford dedicated to bridging chemistry, engineering, biology, and medicine to improve human health, is now accepting applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or untenured Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at Stanford with research programs that exist at the interface between molecular science and computation. Applicants are expected to have earned a Ph.D. degree in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related discipline in science, engineering or medicine.
Applicants will be considered who propose innovative computational approaches to create new insights at the interface of chemistry, biology, engineering and medicine, with research programs that would fit in a department in the School of Engineering. Areas of particular interest include developing tools and technologies to better understand and predict the behavior of biological systems at the molecular or cellular scale; building and deploying computational or machine learning strategies in drug design or development; and other research programs that align with both molecular and computational sciences.
