Musings from a mudane life

There are two things that run in my family. Sarcasism and stupidity.

Because neither of my parents are very bright, one would think that their two children would actually have some brains; this assumption was based on the mathematics rule that [negative+negative= positive].

That was wishful thinking. The first signs that this theory was wrong was when my sister commited her 'Three Acts of Stupidity' (and still accumulating):

1. Locking up her HKiD card in her suitcase when she needed it to get past immigration at the airport...
2. Stole toilet paper from a London University dorm (from the male toilets) and DHL-ed it back to HK...as a gift for my parents...
3. Had the dorm security guards enter her room and spend 10 mins waking her up- apparently she forgot to return a bunch phone calls (which lead to several people informing the guards that they feared she was dead). She was actually just taking a very intensive nap and couldn't hear her radio+moblie+dorm phone.

I didn't think much about it, but just the other day I got myself lost in the toilet because my brain couldn't even locate where the door was. Took me a while to register which direction I was facing.

I am getting worried.

Introducing the Product from my Boredom in Geo Lectures.

A random little creation during geo lectures. The prof for the lecture talks like this:

"Here on the map, you can see that the high temperatures here are low, so in fact they aren't high temperatures at all but are low temperatures...."

Lee got bored so he tallied the number of times the prof goes "erm" "um" or "er" in a 20 minute time span...the total was 223 times.

The only highlight of the lecture was when the prof wrote the word "CUM" (short for cumulus clouds)on the Powerpoint slides, which caused a bunch of giggling from the seniors sitting behind me.

(no subject)

Actually woke up at 7:00am just to have the most divine waffles over at EVK (another canteen on campus). Note to self: wear a scarf if I am ever to go out in the morning- otherwise neck would feel horribly exposed to the chilly air. And wearing jeans would kill me in temps below 18 Celsius. Crap, I'm going to die in Toronto this winter when the temp drops to the negitives(wait, did I mention I was going to Toronto for Christmas?)

Oh yea, and I had my last midterm today for French. Now I get five weeks to procastinate before the finals come up. And here's a little photo that amused me to no end.

Sunday boredom.

Dug up some old junk from my organiser:

January 26th: End of winter exams for Charz and Vicky.

Charz and Vicky's last exam for the winter ended at around 7:00pm. They both agreed to celebrate by having dinner in Fairwood in Aberdeen. But then Vickster said that she had to go home, so that left us two loners to celebrate.

June 26th: Graduation day.

This image depicts my annoyence at wearing a dress on my graduation day. You would see that I am grouchy in all the pictures. At 12:45pm, BOTH Hyun and Kenneth were late and left me standing out in the bloody sun. At 1:50pm, when I got my photo taken, the photographer asked if I could "look any happier". GR.

Random image: The Page of 'Ew'.

Week 4, Day 2 of Univerisity life

Bored- even more bored than the fat squirrel who sits in his tree in 'Founders Park' all day long. Life has fallen into routine. Everyday is like the same for me- one of the reasons why I'm losing my grasp on time...and even reality. The days are so repetitive that I swear, it's not bloody normal.

I have lost all feeling in my fingers and typing has become a trial for me. The room feels like HK during winter, and I find myself wearing a jacket over two shirts. I am grateful for my floral print down blanket. I am also grateful that I recently restocked my rations- I might just live a tad bit longer. Boo hiss.

On the plus side, I discovered that Charz (the hoe with the PERSONAL BATHROOM in her dorm) is plagued with even bigger hoes shouting weird things in the middle of the night (e.g. "I had a really good kebab!"), and that Hyun really is pimpin' over there in Chicago. I also recieved a package today with my Love Psychedelico MD.

How divine.
