The only way to avoid that is to reboot my system, and after maybe 3/4 reboots I'll get lucky enough that this bug doesn't come up. If it doesn't, it won't until the next reboot.
I'm using EndeavourOS, and this happens both in Hyprland and GNOME sessions, so although it seems similar to:

I think it's not the same issue, and the solutions proposed there do not help at all. I also tried https://utcc.utoronto.ca/%7Ecks/space/blog/linux/XdgDesktopPortalSlownessWhy with the gdm files, to no avail.
