Somehow the Microsoft Visual Studio Code editor zone is split horizontally as in the screenshot that just shows a blue line without the filename.
I tried clicking the option to split editor but it doesn't show the same as the screenshot.
Does someone know how to split the editor as the first screenshot that just shows a blue line without the filename?
I found this reference to Visual Studio Code's Linux keyboard shortcuts. I can't tell which one you may have invoked, but the ones in the center column Display section look promising. Also maybe it was the "Split editor" keystroke (Ctrl+)in the Editor management section at the top of the right-hand column.
Experiment and see if it was a keyboard shortcut that split the screen like that.
