When the king of Dragon Land passes away, Prince Euria goes missing, and his evil half-brother has sights for control of the kingdom, Harrier must take to the skies to fight the monsters plaguing the land of dragons, save Euria, and defeat the evil prince.
Space Harrier 3D has tropes like:
- And the Adventure Continues: Once you defeat Euria’s half-brother, you go on new adventures with him across the kingdom.
- Big Bad: The game pits you against Prince Euria’s wicked half-brother as he seeks to rule Dragon Land.
- Dark Is Evil: The evil prince has darker coloring than his brother and is behind nearly every woe in the game. He even is called "Dark Euria''.
- Distressed Dude: Prince Euria has been kidnapped by his half-brother in order to rule over the kingdom.
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Euria's half brother was called "Dark Euria" in-game but this may not actually be his actual name.
- The Exile: Prior to the game, Prince Euria’s half-brother was banished from the kingdom.
- Final Boss: The Evil Prince is the last boss proper to fight in the game.
- Inconsistent Spelling: In the manual of Space Harrier 3-D, Euria is spelled "Uriah."
- Never Trust a Title: 3-D is not the third title, it is the second game of Space Harrier.
- Posthumous Character: The previous king to the kingdom called Dragon Land had passed away prior to the game.
- Third Is 3D: Averted by Space Harrier 3D which is actually the second game in the series.
