Submission Guidelines (read before submitting!)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Include Media Title (episode name, movie name, song name, video game name). For the episode name, include the series title and the numerical season/episode. Example: Parks and Recreation S02E16.
  • Include the entire list of triggers
  • If there is no trigger mentioned, mark ‘None noted’
  • If there is a trigger in the media, mark as concisely and spoiler-free as possible. Some triggers are specific so try to explain what kind of trigger it is and the context. (ex: mention of sexual assault vs. graphic depiction of assault)
  • If possible, briefly mention how far into the media that the trigger warning should occur (ex: towards the end of the film. ex: beginning sequence)
  • Additionally, add notes at the end on possible triggers or problematic that are not on the list. Again, be concise as possible.
  • Add tags to the guide, including the title name of the film.

Example Guide:

  • Self-injurious behavior (self-harm, eating disorders, etc.): None noted

  • Excessive or gratuitous violence: Violence is in the film, but it is on par for a PG-13 film and includes brawling or superhero violencethat includes superhuman or powerful characters.
  • Needles: A character is struck with a needle in a struggle in a hospital about 30 minutes into the film.
  • Depiction of pornography (including child pornography): None noted
  • Incest (including consensual relationships): None noted
  • Kidnapping (forceful deprivation of/disregard for personal autonomy): None noted
  • Death or dying: Several deaths or portrayals of dying from violence are included throughout the film.
  • Pregnancy/Childbirth: None noted
  • Miscarriages/Abortion: None noted
  • Blood: There is blood throughout the film. One character has a missing eye that is shown for a second or two. Otherwise, a character suffers some cuts and scrapes.
  • Torture: none noted
  • Jump Scare: none that I can recall.
  • Mental illness; none noted
  • Seizure warning: none noted, though the lights of the rainbow bridge are a little blinking in multi-color and dazzling.

Additional notes/triggers: An abandoned character is taken. Could be construed as kidnapping. Also, a character is hit by a car twice. It is a fairly ‘tame’ PG-13 movie, overall.
