Flutter gives an error after adding the awesome_notifications package

Question

After adding the awesome_notifications package and restarting the project, my application stopped starting and started giving this error:

Does anyone know how to fix this?

try command flutter clean to clean the cache and then retry flutter run command. — Mearaj

Does this helps -> stackoverflow.com/questions/56716047/… . It is not related to flutter, but it's related to android and error is similar. It says in the android/gradle.properties set android.useAndroidX=true android.enableJetifier=true — Mearaj

It appears like there are two versions jetified-kotlin-stdlib-1.8.22 and jetified-kotlin-stdlib-jdk8-1.7.20 causing duplicate class errors. In your android/build.gradle look for it. Also there are some good suggestions -> stackoverflow.com/questions/75263047/… And also if you are using Android Studio then do File->Invalidate Caches and restart your IDE. — Mearaj

Adding this to fixed it for me:

 dependencies {


 //...other dependencies in Module...

 implementation(platform("org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-bom:1.8.0"))

}
