Lord Aalinore Dovien, King of Shirator
Species: human
Age: varies (30+)
Home: Elador, Shirator
Source: TCS
Occupation: King of Shirator, in case it wasn't clear.
History: It could be a whole book by itself. But in short, he once worked for the warlord Taikon, and was one of the most feared individuals in the world. He was more or less brainwashed into that position though, and he's been working to make amends ever since he's realized that. Not everyone is willing to forgive him though.
Aalinore is a Battle Wizard, a wizard who uses non-elemental magic adapted to offensive use. He's also a telepath.
He is immune to the effects of toxins, which is great if someone's trying to poison you, but not so great when the toxin is actually medicine. Also alcohol doesn't affect him (sadly), but he does like the taste of wine.
Family: Wife Taecia, son Natoyu, daughter Retena, Companion Razeel.
King Albert of Serdio
Species: human
Age: varies (35+)
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: King. Of Serdio. Jade Dragoon when the Jade Dragon feels like it.
History: Became king at age 6 when his uncle Doel murdered his father, King Carlo. The first half of Albert's reign was spent trying to end the civil war that resulted. During the Second Dragon Campaign, he briefly took on the Jade Dragoon spirit while Lavitz was incapacitated. Albert ended up killing Doel during the Dragon Campaign, and the rest of his reign has been spent trying to reunite Serdio. More recently, he helped bring down Phoenix. The past few years have been relatively peaceful for him and Serdio, thank goodness.
Albert has a full royal name, but he really doesn't like how presumptuous it sounds, so only those familiar with Serdian royal history know what it is. I'm trying to get him to tell me but I think I'm going to lose that battle.
Albert knows how to play guitar, or the Serdian equivalent, though he doesn't get much time to practice.
Family: Father Carlo, wife Emille, daughter Diandra, son Aricin.
Prince Aricin of Serdio
Species: human
Age: 21
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: Royal ambassador.
History: Albert and Emille's younger child, Aricin was born about nine years after the events of LoD proper. As a result of growing up in peace times, he's very much a non-violent person. He's rather adept at politics, hence why he's become an ambassador. When he does travel in dangerous places, he usually takes Servi as a bodyguard.
Like his father, Aricin has a much longer royal name. Which he refuses to share with me. He also plays guitar, and as he has more time for practice, he's a good deal more advanced in his skills than Albert.
Family: Father Albert, mother Emille, sister Diandra.
Aruss
Species: human
Age: early-mid twenties
Home: America
Source: EE
Occupation: musician (lute/guitar--early music)
History: His family is from Germany (he was born there), but they immigrated to Canada when he was in his early teens. He attended college in America and now lives here (though where exactly, I'm not sure). He's very much an introvert, and tends to be quiet even around his closest friends (quite the opposite of his best friend Beep). He speaks with a light German accent, he represents himself as a human with fox ears and tail (but doesn't consider himself a furry), he's gay (but not interested in finding a partner, thanks), he's a countertenor, he's a huge Tron fan, and he spends most of his time hanging out in the Hub.
'Aruss' is a nickname. He prefers it over his given name, which I don't even know, and he's not too picky about how it's pronounced, though he says it AY-rooss.
General Gwilym Brannag
Species: human
Age: varies (mid-50's)
Home: Imperial City
Source: FF
Occupation: General of the Imperial Army
History: As the bastard child of two red mages, he has something of a chip on his shoulder about how his family was treated by the ruling mages' council. When the council refused to accept him as a trainee, he circumvented their decision by joining the army and receiving training from the mages there. Turned out that he was one of his days' most powerful wizards, and a rather fine commanding officer. He quickly ascended the ranks and eventually become a general. He later fell in love with a lower-ranking red mage from one of the outer provinces, and despite taboos against such a union, they were as good as married...sans the legal approval to call themselves as such.
Despite being a very powerful wizard, due to him technically not being recognized as a mage by the council, he was not legally allowed to use magic. Fun situation he was constantly having to dance around.
He has a son by blood, Sannor, and one he adopted, Markath.
He's a Dragonblood mage.
He and his wife both died in battle. Not the same battle.
Family: Mother, father, wife, son Sannor, adopted son Markath.
Demarcus 'Beep' Williams
Species: human
Age: 26
Home: United States
Source: EE
Occupation: mechanical engineer
History: Mostly, he just 'is.' He likes singing and dancing and cheering people up.
Family: Father, mother, sister Kitty.
Breakdown
Species: Cybertronian
Age: unknown
Home: West Virginia, United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Ostensibly, Knock Out's assistant; Decepticon warrior
History: Very little is known about Breakdown's past because he himself does not remember it. He was used in a gestalt experiment at one point, but where the rest of the gestalt is and how he's surviving without them is something of a mystery. He prefers to keep a low profile, which to him means staying out of major battles, instead fighting enemies one-on-one. When he's not doing his warrior thing, he's serving as an assistant to his friend Knock Out and the cassette medic Glit, whom he also acts as a host for. He followed Knock Out to West Virginia when Megatron banished him from Chicago.
How Breakdown ended up as Glit's host is another mystery, but it does give him a legitimate excuse to stay out of battles when he wants.
Family: Friend-bond Knock Out, cassette drone Glit.
Bri
Species: human (Hidden--Carolina marsh tacky)
Age: 14
Home: West Virignia, United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Ostensibly, Nick's assistant/student.
History: Bri has no memory of her parents. Her life mostly consisted of working with a small team of fellow Hidden horses as a sort of transport company. The team was scattered when it was found they were actually Hidden, not real horses; Bri was captured by Decepticons. She was shuffled from one owner to another for a few years before coming through the way station in West Virginia. Nick begged Knock Out not to send the girl through to Flatline; amazingly, he agreed, and Bri was kept on under the guise of Nick's student.
'Chal'
Species: human (Hidden--Western dragon)
Age: unknown (adult)
Home: United States/Canada
Source: TF
Occupation: wanderer?
History: Unknown.
Seems to prefer his dragon form. He spits a very hot, acidic venom as a dragon. His nickname is from chalcopyrite (peacock rock); due to his coloration, he likes to claim he's half dragon and half peacock rock.
Chal keeps his dragon life and human life separate. Nobody who knows him as a dragon knows his human name or what he looks like, and nobody who knows him as a human knows his dragon name or what his dragon form looks like. Do not ask him to make an exception for you, because he won't.
He is friends with Echostrike, who he nicknamed Duncan, who in turn calls Chal 'Pyr' (short for 'pyrite').
Clarissa Cloud Eagle
Species: human (Hidden--golden eagle)
Age: varies (24+)
Home: Qualla Boundary, North Carolina, United States
Source: TF
Occupation: xeno assassin
History: Though her own childhood was relatively free of xeno influence, Clarissa nonetheless grew up hating the aliens and how they treated humans. She taught herself how to kill xenos and has made a fairly good living as an assassin.
Unlike most Hidden, she is not marked or tattooed.
Though she professes to work only for herself, she's been known to work with the Initiative.
Family: Father, mother, son Wildspark.
Sir Coen Verachmenn
Species: human
Age: varies (23+)
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: Third Knight of Serdio
History: Coen grew up during the civil war with his best friend Niira, and fully expected that he would be fighting in the war some day. Thankfully the war ended before he was knighted; not so thankfully, his father turned out to be a Sandoran sleeper agent whose actions lead to the deaths of many knights. Coen took that situation hard, continuing to blame himself for years afterward. He was finally able to overcome his doubts when Phoenix arrived, when he helped save his king's life and lead Serdian troops to victory against Phoenix. Coen married Niira not long after.
Coen has basically zero magical abilities. However, his method of dealing with Albert's Moon Gem situation has left him with an ability to sense magic, in the form of pain. Which is always awesome when you're surrounded by people who use magic.
Coen comes from a native Sandoran family. As he was raised in Bale, he considers himself Silan/Serdian. He does on occasion face discrimination from less accepting Serdians.
Family: father Arlo, mother, wife Niira, son Servi
Echostrike "Duncan"
Species: Cybertronian
Age: unknown
Home: unknown
Source: Transformers
Occupation: wanderer
History: An unintended consequence of Knock Out meeting 'that femme', a young Echostrike was left at a less-than-stellar youth complex after coming online, and basically ended up raising himself on the streets of a less-than-stellar sector. He was acquainted with his spark-dam, but didn't much care for her, instead preferring to stay one step ahead of those who wanted to either jail him or force him into a low-end career. He's become very quick, adaptable, and dangerous, yet is still mostly easy to get along with, or at least neutral to people he's met. He decided to make a suicidal jump through a space bridge to Earth to escape Unicron/Galvatron's take-over of Cybertron, met up with a dragon, and is now wandering Earth. Unfortunately, he's seeing signs that Unicron/Galvatron has already found Earth...
He is able to slightly move his molecules, to 'phase' through objects. However, the ability is very short-lived, and can only be used on a small area. For example, he can 'phase' through handcuffs, provided he can move his hands through them quickly enough, and he can 'phase' around projectiles, provided he knows they are coming and can accurately predict their paths. He can't 'phase' through walls, as he can't get enough speed to move completely through them before his ability give out. He can move his molecules to appear slightly blurry, which isn't very useful. His ability can be negated by the application of certain energy wavelengths.
Family: Spark-sire Knock Out, friend-bond Chal
Elizabeth Gairn
Species: human
Age: 40
Home: Chertsey, England
Source: EE
Occupation: singer (soprano)
History: The older daughter in a well-to-do London family, Elizabeth's desire to marry a Scotsman was not taken well by her father. She married anyway. She and Somhairle have been ridiculously in love ever since. Despite five children :p.
Family: Husband Somhairle, son James, daughter Catrina, daughter Annabel, son Arthur, daughter Katie, sister, parents.
Queen Emille of Serdio
Species: human
Age: varies (30+)
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: Queen of Serdio
History: Eldest daughter of King Zior of Tiberoa, Emille was betrothed to Albert as a teenager. This proved to be a good arrangement--when she met him later during the Second Dragon War, they found they had a true affection for one another, and were married upon the war's conclusion. She is renowned for her beauty and kindness, and also has the Tiberoan talent for 'reading the stars', able to sense and understand the magic of starlight to receive messages about the world.
Family: Father Zior, wife Emille, daughter Diandra, son Aricin
Father Henry 'Fetz' Cavanaugh
Species: Neuri/werewolf
Age: 83
Home: Virginia, United States
Source: EE
Occupation: Priest (Anglican/Anglo-Catholic), Knight of the Order of Saint Christopher, butler.
History: Fetz was born into a rather isolationist Neuri community in Ireland, and was disowned by his parents when he declared he was going into the priesthood. He served as a chaplain in the British Army, where he met and married his wife Sarah. He only served a few years in the army before he was selected by the Order of Saint Christopher. During the Red Night, the Guild in London, where he was stationed, was attacked; Sarah was captured and later killed, while Fetz was held prisoner and tortured with the use of a halter chit. Fetz managed to escape an make his way to America, where he was given sanctuary by a sympathetic (and rather well-off) family in return for acting as their butler.
Fetz is still technically in hiding, hence why he cannot actively and/or publicly perform priestly duties. The British government has him marked as a dangerous individual and is still hunting him, though trying to catch him in a foreign country has proven difficult. The halter chit is also still active, so he's been unable to shift into wolf form for about fifty years now.
While in America he usually spells his surname 'Kavanagh.'
Family: Wife Sarah, son Andrew 'Chimelu' Cavanaugh (Fetz is not aware Chimelu is his son).
Father Henry 'Fetz' Cavanaugh
Species: human (Hidden--Eurasian wolf)
Age: 83
Home: Virginia, United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Priest (Anglican/Anglo-Catholic), Knight of the Order of Saint Christopher, servant.
History: Fetz was born into a rather isolationist Hidden community in Ireland, and was disowned by his parents when he declared he was going into the priesthood. He served as a chaplain in the British Army, where he met and married his wife Sarah. He only served a few years in the army before he was selected by the Order of Saint Christopher, where he helped in missions involving Hidden and other more secretive government things, often in conjunction with Guild authorities. During the Red Night, the Guild in London, where he was stationed, was attacked; Sarah was captured and later killed, while Fetz was held prisoner by the Initiative and tortured with the use of a halter chit. Fetz managed to escape an make his way to America, where he was given sanctuary by a sympathetic Seeker overseer.
As a Christopheran Knight and someone who worked closely with the Guild, Fetz is still being hunted by xenos and remains in hiding.
Air Commander Jetfire
Species: Cybertronian (Seeker)
Age: 2,381,207
Home: United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Autobot Air Commander
History: Jetfire is one of only two Seekers ever to come online on Cybertron's First Moon; like all Lunarians, he is almost twice as big as his planet-born counterparts. Due to the lack of Seekers on the moon, he was raised more as a regular Cybertronian, and as an adult is much less prone to acting on his aggression than other Seekers are. When he began training for the army, he was paired with Starscream, and the two quickly formed a close bond. When their training concluded, they were put into a wing with Thundercracker and Skywarp. Unfortunately, Starscream's attitude got them all posted on a distant, icy mining outpost. Jetfire was lost there in the early days of the civil war, but was later recovered by Autobots. He joined the Decepticons instead, following Starscream, but after being betrayed and (literally) shot in the back by his former friend, Jetfire jumped ship for the Autobots. He's been a valuable asset for them, as his speed and strength can turn the tide of battle. At heart, though, he is an exploration scientist, and would rather the war be over.
Jetfire was known as Skyfire prior to joining the Autobots. He changed his name to break ties to his former life with Starscream. He rarely shows up as 'Skyfire' nowadays, but if you see the name, now you know what's up.
Khonsu
Species: spirit (moon)
Age: unknown. Very old. Very very very very very...
Home: Spirit-world castle
Source: CCS
Occupation: Many things, though lately he's been settling into a role of guardian and healer.
History: He claims to be the first being God created, or at least the first one to become self-aware. When God created Earth and the spirit world, Khonsu chose to live there, and took the moon as his symbol. Along with Ra, he was responsible for clearing the ferae umbrarum from the spirit world and creating a livable place for the other spirits that were appearing. He eventually gave up the life of a fighter and turned to healing arts and knowledge. He was rather active among humanity in its early days, and was known to them by many names and forms. He married a Roman woman and had a family with her. Unfortunately, they got caught in the middle of all that invading barbarian nonsense and they all perished, except Khonsu's son Scipio, whom he took to live with him in the spirit world. Scipio was later infected by the ferae umbrarum and died a rather unpleasant death, something which has haunted Khonsu ever since. Khonsu did eventually remarry, this time to the water-spirit Nara. He still tries to keep tabs on humanity, though he doesn't visit them personally as much nowadays.
Khonsu's false form is of an aosaginohi.
Though Khonsu is no longer actively a warrior, he has no problem with defending himself when necessary. Khonsu's a pretty introspective individual and really doesn't talk much to outsiders. Don't be offended if he doesn't respond to you quickly or at all. He doesn't respond to his host's questions half the time either.
Family: Wife Nara, son Scipio (deceased).
Medic Knock Out
Species: Cybertronian
Age: unknown
Home: West Virginia, United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Decepticon medic, soldier
History: A young Knock Out trained in medicine mostly to satisfy his own curiosity of how the body worked so he could take it apart in horrible ways. Unfortunately for him, he turned out to be good at the whole medic deal, so that's what he ended up doing for a long time. When the war broke out, he slipped away with the intent of joining the Decepticons as a soldier, but he accidentally gave away his medical training when, out of habit, he stopped to help an injured soldier, who turned out to be Breakdown, who served as a host for the cassette medic Glit, who promptly dragged Knock Out back into service as a medic. Knock Out's never forgiven either of them for foiling his plans, but secretly he's glad he's not out on the front lines every day. He's known to have thrown in his lot with Starscream, which Megatron punished him for by sending him to West Virginia, to man a way station there. A lot of human prisoners pass through the station, and as Knock Out hates dealing with humans, he got himself a human doctor to deal with them instead.
He is capable of sprinting, but rarely does so because he's a lazy ass. Also he can give off very precise electric pulses, but again, he's typically too lazy to do this.
Don't ask him about 'that femme.' If you don't know who 'that femme' is referring to, good.
Family: Friend-bond Breakdown, son Duncan (his awareness of having a son depends on which subsource is in).
Lance Houyoku
Species: human
Age: 30
Home: Somewhere on Aanadrael. Prefers not to give details.
Source: TCS
Occupation: mercenary/bounty hunter
History: He's rather sensitive about his past and prefers that as few people know the full story as possible. He says that it's something of a miracle that he ever survived to adulthood.
He's a cyborg. This journal is named after his ship. He has two pet rats (of the super-intelligent kind), Hamm and Tibbs, who help with repairs on the ship, and keep him company on long voyages.
He really likes boy bands. Yeah, I don't know either.
Family: Wife Crystal, son Damien.
Lance/Wataru
Species: human
Age: varies (30-ish)
Home: Indigo Plateau, Kanto/Blackthorn City, Johto
Source: Pokemon
Occupation: League Champion of Indigo and Johto
History: Illegitimate child of a Dragon Clan woman and a certain notorious ground-type gym leader. Lance was prone to 'dragon curse' as a child, and nothing short of loathes his father. He is very close to his older sister, though, and took her murder hard--that was what gave him the final push to begin training to become a gym leader in his hometown of Blackthorn. He later joined the Elite Four, and soon after that became the reigning Champion. He was able to focus the Elite Four's efforts into a more cohesive group that oversees human/pokemon relations, and general law-keeping measures.
It's no secret that he and the Viridian gym leader don't get along. What's more secret is the real reason behind this mutual hatred.
He's the legal guardian of his niece Siku.
His core pokemon team consists of his first pokemon, Taggert, a male dragonite; a female dragonite; that dragonite's dragonair offspring; a charizard; an aerodactyl; and a gyarados. There's also a shiny gyarados he's caring for (but not training), and a salamence and a hydreigon that seem to pass through his training from time to time. Lance and Taggert are inseparable.
Lance titles his posts as simply 'Lance'. Pay attention to the source icon used and don't confuse him with Lance from TCS. Pokemon!Lance does not like being called 'Wataru', he is using that name only for clarification purposes here in the journal.
Family: father Giovanni, mother, sister, niece/legal ward Siku.
First Knight of Serdio Sir Dragoon Lavitz Slambert
Species: human
Age: varies (46+)
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: First Knight, Jade Dragoon.
History: He lost his father (the First Knight before him) to a traitor, his wife to a snake bite, and his daughter to a fire (or so he thought). All the while he still lead Basil's troops against Sandora and trained Albert in the art of war. And that was before he became the Jade Dragoon in the Second Dragon Campaign and was held captive for a while by Zackwell (a situation he will only discuss, vaguely, with Albert). Since then, he's been helping Albert bring stability back to Serdio, and been trying to reconnect with his long-lost daughter.
Lavitz can't use healing potions! Well, he can, but he gets muscle tremors and spastic paralysis and trippy hallucinations. This is apparently a family trait. A rather unfortunate one, given the preferred occupation of the men of his family.
Family: Father Servi, mother Maeja, wife Yamin, daughter Niira.
Loki
Species: ferae umbrarum
Age: unknown (many thousands of years)
Home: Spirit-world
Source: CCS
Occupation: former ferae warlord; currently messenger for Ra and the spirits in general
History: During the ancient Spirit-Ferae War, Loki joined forces with the spirits, until most of the ferae warlords had been killed, at which point he turned on the spirits in a bid to take over not only the Shadow-world but the Spirit-world as well. He came the closest anyone's ever come to actually killing one of the 'original three' (Ra), but was unable or unwilling to complete the task for some reason he has never divulged. As a result, Ra came after him in vengeance, and was able to subdue Loki by imprisoning him in the territory of the vicious, venomous tarca-spirae, where he remained for a long time. It was only at Khonsu's urging that Ra released Loki from this prison; Loki vowed never to go against Ra again, but Ra wouldn't take that for an answer. Instead, he trapped Loki in a smaller version of one of his animal-like forms, binding his magic and linking Loki to himself.
Loki is understandably very sore about this but is unable to do anything about his fate at this time. He currently grudgingly works as a messenger for Ra, and the other spirits as needed, since the only magic he does have access to is that which makes him speedy.
Loki is not so much the trickster god we know him as, as simply someone who serves only himself (well, when he's free to), and has no problem using violence to achieve his goals. He does, however, prefer to simply manipulate situations to his advantage rather that outright attack, but this does not mean he's one you'd want to run into in his full form on a bad day.
He seems to have mellowed out since Ra's trapped him in his 'dash'-form. But he could very well just be biding his time until Ra releases him, or he finds his own way out of the situation. For now, he's literally harmless, except for biting sarcasm.
Father John 'Ahair Merle' Howell
Species: dhampir
Age: unknown
Home: London, England
Source: Animae
Occupation: Priest (Christian, unknown sect), Knight of the Order of Saint Christopher.
History: He's worked on ships before, though whether they were merchant ships or navy ships, no one knows. Now he's off being a holy warrior or something. Nobody's really sure what's up with him. He's kinda strange.
Father John 'Ahair Merle' Howell
Species: human (Hidden--common raven)
Age: unknown
Home: London, England
Source: TF
Occupation: Priest (Christian, unknown sect), Knight of the Order of Saint Christopher.
History: He served in the Royal Navy for a while before joining the Order. He now seems to act as a recruiter for the Order, though his methods are considered strange and somewhat creepy. Nobody's sure if he even serves as a priest so much any more.
Nimue 'Nara' Lady of the Lake
Species: spirit (water)
Age: unknown (several thousand years)
Home: Spirit-world castle
Source: CCS
Occupation: water gate maintainer
History: A relatively young spirit. She prefers to keep silent on her supposed role in Arthurian legend, though she is known to have been friends with the powerful human wizard Myrddin, something that irritated other spirits. She later married the moon-spirit Khonsu.
She speaks Latin, Welsh, and various older forms of English. Like most spirits, she is known by many names by various human cultures.
She does not have a true false form, instead just becoming one with water. And while she is rather non-violent, she is still fully-armed. And can control water. Anger her at your own risk.
Family: Husband Khonsu.
Doctor Nicholas
Species: human (Hidden--Asilisaurus/Pseudhesperosuchus)
Age: 47
Home: West Virginia, United States
Source: TF
Occupation: physician to Decepticon-captured humans
History: Growing up after the Red Night, Nick was extremely lucky in that he was able to attend medical school and eventually have a career as a surgeon specializing in treating Hidden. He married a fellow surgeon and they had a daughter together. All that came to an end when Decepticons raided their home city (for what exact reason, he still doesn't know). He and his family were captured; his daughter was killed a few days later, and his wife commit suicide shortly after. Nick was forced to work under the Decepticon medic Flatline, keeping human subjects alive for his experiments. Nick backtalked the 'Con one too many times and was about to be executed when another 'Con medic sent a request through for a human doctor to assist him. Flatline gladly sent the sassy human to Knock Out and Glit, hoping to aggravate them, but it actually turned out to be a good arrangement. Nick still doesn't like working for xenos, but at least his life is tolerable now.
Actually, he'd never admit it out loud, but Nick's kinda fond of the xenos he's working with now.
Family: Wife, daughter.
Lady Dragoon Niira Verachmenn
Species: human/Lion People
Age: varies (22+)
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: Black Gold Dragoon
History: As the daughter of a high-ranking individual during a time of war, Niira was rarely allowed to travel far from Bale as a child. That didn't matter in the end, as she was kidnapped from the city at the age of seven and taken to the Northlands to live with her uncle Shining Claw. He was not a very loving individual, raising her as a soldier rather than a child. Eventually, Niira fled the Northlands and returned to Bale, only to find herself in the middle of the very trouble she was trying to avoid. After Phoenix was defeated, she married her childhood friend Coen and has been working with the Serdian army.
Like her father, Niira cannot use healing potions. She doesn't get the physical effects, but she does hallucinate badly.
And like most Lion People, she loves cheese. She also has a pet gryff she named Kitty.
Family: Father Lavitz, mother Yamin, husband Coen, son Servi.
Optimus Prime
Species: Cybertronian
Age: 1,339,875
Home: United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Prime, commander of the Autobots.
History: Optimus was elected as Prime while he was still fairly young. It was a good decision, though, as he worked well with his brother Megatron, the Lord High Protector of Cybertron. However, he was unable to curb Megatron's greed for power; in an attempt to cool things down, Optimus hid the Allspark. This had the opposite effect, and instead started the war as Megatron immediately attacked, accusing Optimus of wanting the Allspark's power for himself. Optimus and the Autobots tried to hold their own against the Decepticons, but eventually Optimus made the decision to send the Allspark off-world, hoping to buy the Autobots--and Cybertron--time. This did work, until Optimus discovered the Allspark had landed on an inhabited planet. He blames himself for this and has tried to make it right by defending the humans against the Decepticons. His actions are not always looked upon kindly by the natives, however...
Family: Brother Megatron
Chief Medical Officer Ratchet
Species: Cybertronian
Age: 7,107,785
Home: United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Chief Medical Officer of the Autobots
History: Born and raised in Iacon, Ratchet grew up as much in politics as he did medicine. As a senior medic, he was elected to the Iaconian Council of Elders (thought he was not really 'elder' at the time), and became close friends with the Prime, Optimus. When war broke out, he was one of the first to side with Optimus and the newly-formed Autobots, and has remained unquestionably loyal throughout the war. He is currently the only field medic in Optimus' crew; despite being a medic, he's quite proficient at defending himself, as some Decepticons have found out the hard way.
Ratchet's not quite sure what to make of Earth and humans still. He likes some individuals, but he'd prefer to leave humanity as a whole to its own devices. It's one point of contention he has with Optimus.
'Reezy' Song on the Breeze
Species: Lion People
Age: 23
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: warrior-priest
History: Reezy was born into a Northland family known for magical powers. As he too showed magical promise, he decided to become a priest, and often trained alongside his cousin Niira. When Niira left for Serdio, he quickly followed, worried for her safety. He had no idea of what would await him in Serdio, or that he would be participating in the defeat of Phoenix. Now, he is serving as a sort of informal ambassador.
While Reezy can use magic, exactly what element is up for debate. It seems to be a hybrid of light and fire.
Family: Father, mother, sister, brother.
Mage Sanj Brannag
Species: human
Age: 27
Home: Imperial City
Source: FF
Occupation: Imperial Red Mage (soldier/ranger)
History: As his parents were both killed when he was a baby, Sanj was raised by his father's adopted brother Markath. Sanj, like others in his family, proved to be extremely adept with magic and earned the title of Mage at a young age. Sanj was sent off with a dark Fire Crystal in the hope that he and those he met would be able to restore all of the Crystals. Unfortunately Sanj fell victim to a blue mage's attack before he could complete his journey, which eventually weakened him enough that he was forced to pass the crystal to his student, a young male mithra. He's rather pissy about the whole ordeal and the blue magic still wreaking havoc on him. You're better off not mentioning it in his presence.
He's got quite the eye for Meyla, but that relationship is rather one-sided.
He's a Dragonblood mage.
Family: Father Sannor, mother Eina, adoptive father Markath.
Sarah Benson
Species: human
Age: 23
Home: Chertsey, England
Source: EE
Occupation: wife
History: Not much that I've been privy to. Born 1719-1720?, she married young and then died in childbirth, which crushed her husband. I'm not sure she's aware of her death though, so don't mention it.
She had a pet orange tabby simply named Cat.
Family: Husband Lemuel, daughter Hannah.
Sir Servi Verachmenn
Species: human/Lion People
Age: 17
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: Knight of Serdio (First Knighthood)
History: As the son of two heroes of a war, Servi's got something of an ego on him. He's cocky and tends to goof off, but when you can get him to cooperate (which usually involves his grandfather Lavitz threatening him), his true skill as a knight comes through. He's currently being trained to take Lavitz's place as First Knight, though Lavitz sometimes wonders if Servi will ever be mature enough to handle the position. Servi spends a lot of his time acting as a personal bodyguard to his friend Aricin.
It is strongly suspected that he will inherit a dragoon spirit, though whether it will be his grandfather's or his mother's is anyone's guess. He secretly hopes he's never chosen as a dragoon.
Family: Father Coen, mother Niira.
Sideswipe
Species: Cybertronian
Age: 791,481
Home: United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Autobot front-line warrior
History: He prefers not to talk about his earliest years, but Sideswipe is not at all shy to mention that he's spent most of his life as a gladiator in Kaon, in Xeon's school. A lot of mechs wonder why a gladiator would side with the Autobots, but they're quietly thankful they have a skilled warrior working for them. Even if that warrior isn't someone they would want to be alone with in a dark alley.
Sideswipe was training to be a linguist before he and Sunstreaker were abducted by Xeon. Up until the Cybertronians discovered the one-stop language shop that is the internet on Earth, he was one of the few Autobots who spoke a language besides Cybertronian. And even with the internet, he's probably better with understanding English than most others. Don't ever mention this out loud though. He prefers to be seen as a warrior, not a scholar.
Family: Twin brother Sunstreaker.
Skyshock
Species: Cybertronian (Seeker)
Age: unknown/varies (youngling-young adult)
Home: United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Autobot aerial soldier
History: Skyshock's parents were Decepticon Seekers, but only barely--his father was a non-aggressive Seeker and only joined the Decepticons because he wingmates did. When his mate was found to be carrying a new spark, they took a leave of absence so they could spend a few years raising their child. Unfortunately, not all Decepticons got the message, and they were hunted down as traitors by other Seekers. Skyshock's mother survived and sought out asylum with the Autobots. She's stayed ever since, and Skyshock has thus been raised on Earth as an Autobot.
Skyshock is the first Cybertronian actually born on Earth. As a result, he's absorbed a lot more human customs and mannerisms than other Cybertronians. This embarrasses his mother.
He's a non-aggressive Seeker.
Family: Mother, father, friend-bond Wildspark.
Somhairle Gairn
Species: human; Scottish wildcat; wyvern; betta
Age: varies (40+)
Home: Chertsey, England
Source: EE
Occupation: musician (violinist, singer--bass)
History: Born January 11th, 1710. He basically fled Scotland due to politics that lead to his father's murder. Eventually met, fell in love with, and married Elizabeth, much to her father's distaste. Somhairle is also very close friends with Lemuel/Squink.
He's from Clan Gordon. He speaks Scots-Gaelic as his first language, and has a very heavy Scottish accent when speaking English.
He's one of the headvoices who lived his life, died (of natural causes in old age), and came back for more.
As a wildcat, he's very fluffy and has blue eyes. As a wyvern, he's fuzzy and brown, with a cat-like head, a long thin tail, and pterosaur-like wings. As a betta, he's a mustard gas halfmoon.
Somhairle is the core personality for/same person as Soren.
Family: Wife Elizabeth, son James, daughter Catrina, daughter Annabel, son Arthur, daughter Katie, two brothers, sister, parents.
Soren
Species: human
Age: 50
Home: Bale, Basil, Serdio
Source: LoD
Occupation: musician
History: Soren is from the Eastern Tribes; he left because of the tense political situation there and the danger posed to himself, as he was the son of a chief. He ended up in Bale, though he had no intention of staying, until he fell in love with a woman he would later marry. He's been in Bale ever since, and has managed to keep his past quiet so as not to stir up any problems between Serdio and the Eastern Tribes.
He frequents the same bar as Lavitz, and the two have become friends over the years.
Family: Wife, four children, brother.
Lemuel 'Squink' Benson
Species: muse (human, angelic, cat/winged cat, dragon, betta)
Age: 295
Home: none
Source: EE
Occupation: muse
History: Born in England on September 27th, 1717, to a wealthy merchant. Lemuel was something of a virtuoso keyboardist, though he could also play violin, and made a living teaching and playing. He died in 1749 in a most unpleasant manner that he prefers not to talk about. After his death as a human, Squink was reawakened as a muse. He hates this arrangement and takes every opportunity to remind people of it.
He is close friends with Somhairle. He's not very close friends with his musee, and especially hates her violin.
He really, really likes tea. No, seriously. Don't fuck with his tea. He can't drink alcohol worth crap though.
Family: Wife Sarah, daughter Hannah.
Sunstreaker
Species: Cybertronian
Age: 791,481
Home: United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Autobot front-line warrior
History: Sunstreaker, like Sideswipe, prefers not to talk about his life before Kaon, where he was one of the top gladiators, and a spark-eating haroonex. Unlike Sideswipe, however, he is very quiet, antisocial, and moody on a good day. He is prone to violent outbursts and has been known to seriously injure fellow Autobots, including his own brother. He does, thankfully, stop short of injuring allied and non-involved humans. Seriously injuring. I mean, there's been some bruises and minor lacerations. (We won't mention the humans he's come across who've been actively anti-Autobot.)
He is, to put it shortly, severely socially stunted, coupled with a 4-Beta's natural proclivity towards aggression and inability to trust others. Not a fun combination for anyone, but one that has, unfortunately, proven very useful for the Autobots in the war.
He is one of those rare Cybertronians with artistic talent, preferring to work on copper sculpture, but also a most proficient doodler.
Family: Twin brother Sideswipe.
Lady Taecia Feriond Dovien of Shirator
Species: human
Age: varies (20+)
Home: Elador, Shirator
Source: TCS
Occupation: Queen of Shirator
History: Daughter of Tosaf Kralits, a low-ranking officer in the TIlroran army, and his wife, Taecia became a private in the army when she was old enough. She fled for her life after Tilrora surrendered to Shirator, for fear that her being a wizard would lead to her being hunted down. After a long war against Shirator, and then with Shirator, she helped free the Continent of Taikon's control. She later married Aalinore, the Lord of Shirator, which lead to her becoming the Queen of Shirator, much to consternation of the Shiratorean nobility.
She is a 'pure wizard'/letaum, directly using magic in its base form, and is able to manipulate others' usage of magic by directly messing with their thaumilex.. This makes her extremely powerful, but she's not very skilled and doesn't have the best control over it. It tends to drain her physically. So she tries not to use it.
She is also commonly known as Godhammer, due to once (accidentally) collapsing a mountain on top of combined Shiratorean and Manesan forces.
Family: Husband Aalinore, son Natoyu, daughter Retena, Companion Lorel (deceased).
Don Antonio Vivaldi
Species: human
Age: 57
Home: Venice, Italy
Source: Animae
Occupation: Priest (Roman Catholic), composer, violinist.
History: I'll make it easy for you.
He claims to be allergic to cats. In truth, he's just not a kitty fan.
Apparently he doesn't get along well with his brother Francesco.
Family: Father Gionbattista, mother Camilla, sister Margarita, sister Cecilia, brother Bonaventura, sister Zanetta, brother Francesco.
Wildspark/Jalen Grey Horse
Species: human/Cybertronian (Hidden--eagle)
Age: varies (child-adult)
Home: United States
Source: TF
Occupation: Autobot soldier
History: Wildspark's exact details can vary greatly depending on which sub-source is being discussed. Suffice to say that he's a human/Cybertronian hybrid and he's pretty withdrawn as a result. However, he strongly believes in Autobot ideals and Earth independence and has no qualms about fighting for those things. Decepticons and human organizations alike are out to capture him to try to find a way to replicate his hybrid body to their own ends.
Wildspark does not like to shift forms, as his Hidden form--an eagle that's neither organic or mechanical--is frankly pretty hideous. And he can't fly very well, to boot. Also, he's rather difficult to treat medically due to his unique physiology.
Never call him Sparky.
Family: Father Wheeljack, mother Clarissa, friend-bond Skyshock.

Age: 26

He only served a few years in the army before he was selected by the Order of Saint Christopher, where he helped in missions involving Hidden and other more secretive government things, often in conjunction with Guild authorities. Fetz managed to escape an make his way to America, where he was given sanctuary by a sympathetic Seeker overseer.
As a Christopheran Knight and someone who worked closely with the Guild, Fetz is still being hunted by xenos and remains in hiding. The halter chit is also still active, so he's been unable to shift into wolf form for about fifty years now.
While in America he usually spells his surname 'Kavanagh.'
