We’re excited to announce our new strategic partnership with CMG Productions. This collaboration will see us co-develop and produce a slate of original podcasts spanning sport and crime, expanding original IP into scalable, multi-platform formats across both scripted and unscripted content. Both companies bring an award-winning track record in documentary storytelling. CMG’s credits include The Footballer, His Wife and the Crash, alongside true crime feature documentaries such as The Footballer Fraudster, The Durban Axe Murderer: The Rugby Killer, and Death in the Heartlands. Stak’s Legacy podcast series include SJA’s Podcast of the Year 2024 The English Disease, New York City Podcast Awards winner Dancing with Shadows, and the recently SJA-nominated Defiant. Nicky Anderson, Head of Narrative (Stak), said: “Working with CMG is an exciting new venture for us, and one we’re really looking forward to building on. It's been another big year of recognition for Stak in the Sports Journalism Awards! Fresh from winning Podcast of the Year for The English Disease in 2025, we find ourselves nominated for a handful more awards, including Podcast of the Year (Always On) for P1 with Matt and Tommy, Podcast of the Year (Limited Series) for Defiant, and Ones to Watch (On Air) for my colleague Nicky Anderson! It's great for the team to get this recognition - we are a small, bootstrap indie that's grown entirely organically with no external funding. For us to be able to continue to punch above our weight against some of the true heavy hitters in the industry is a great thing. Thanks to everyone for their support, but mostly thanks to excellent team at Stak for their continued hard work and dedication!
