What thousands of fans joining a group chat tells us about podcast community engagement 💡 📱 Hi everyone, I’m Jack Allen, producer of The Jack & Ash Show at Audio Always. Today I'm celebrating the recent launch of our Jack and Ash Patreon. In just over a month, The Jack & Ash Show Patreon has grown to thousands of members, and it’s one of our biggest Patreon launches yet. But the number that interests us most isn't the number of members. It's the daily number of messages, replies, and conversations happening every day between Jack, Ash and the people who love the podcast. That's where something genuinely interesting is going on. When we launched the Patreon, we emphasised that joining wasn’t just access to exclusive content. Bonus episodes are part of the offering, of course, but the group chat is what we wanted to create. It's an inclusive, intimate space where fans can actually talk to each other, and where Jack and Ash show up every day to be part of that conversation. A lot of fan communities exist on platforms where the audience is always performing for an algorithm built to keep fans scrolling, or shouting into a feed that moves too fast to follow. What Jack and Ash have created on Patreon feels more like a room — one where you actually know the people in it, and where the hosts are genuinely present rather than just occasionally dropping in. From behind the scenes at Audio Always, a community like Jack and Ash’s does something important on two fronts. Commercially, it signals something powerful to potential partners. An audience that has chosen to invest their time, their attention, and yes, their money, is an audience that's engaged. They're not passive listeners, half-following along on a commute (although, we love all listeners equally). They're vocal and they're the kind of people who tell other people about things they love. For potential brand partnerships, that's a meaningful thing to be able to point to. From a listener engagement perspective, it creates a feedback loop that most podcasts can only dream of. When your audience has a dedicated space to talk about your show, you learn things you'd never find out from download figures alone. You hear what lands. You hear what they want more of. You hear the moments they're still thinking about three days later. That kind of insight shapes better podcast productions. And better produced podcasts build bigger communities. And so it goes around. I’m really proud of what Jack, Ash, and the team have created. Not just because it's performing well, but because it's performing well for the right reasons. Big thanks to Emi Geddes Claire Chambers Paul Fernley Ben Cartwright and the full team for getting this off the ground. https://lnkd.in/ee-QHxUQ

Got a podcast idea? This is your chance to put it to the test. AudioUK is bringing back our very popular session - Pod Idol: Pitch Your Podcast at The Podcast Show this year - fast paced, sometimes unfiltered, and always insightful. Chaired by Chris Baughen, CEO of AudioUK, our panel of industry experts including Stuart Morgan, Founder of Audio Always; Charlotte Mason, Head of Production Insanity and Selina Mehta, Director of Development Novel will hear live pitches from emerging creators, each with just 60 seconds to make their idea land... ...and then receive honest, constructive feedback in real time. You’ll get a rare behind-the-scenes look at how ideas are evaluated: what cuts through, what holds concepts back, and what it really takes to stand out in a crowded market. Whether you’re brave enough to pitch or watching from the audience, you’ll leave with a clearer sense of how to shape, position, and sell a podcast idea. 🎙️ One mic. One idea. One minute. Expert feedback.

Help I Sexted My Boss is now on MTV UK! 📺 Thanks to the MTV UK, Northern & Eastern Europe and Paramount teams for trusting in us through this process. Catch the best of Sexted across the MTV UK schedule from this week - and get brand new episodes wherever you get your podcasts!
Jackass. MTV Cribs. Pimp My Ride. Geordie Shore. And now... Help I Sexted My Boss. 🎸 📺 Audio Always has agreed a licensing deal with Paramount to bring Help I Sexted My Boss to the main MTV UK channel - a first for both MTV UK, Northern & Eastern Europe and a UK podcast company. Starting this week, a curated collection of 20 of the show’s best episodes will air on MTV UK. 700 episodes in, an arena tour done, a cinema release under their belt, and now Jordan North and William Hanson are officially on the channel that has given us some of the greatest cultural moments television has to offer. Help is part of the newly Audio Academy ARIAs nominated Audio Always Originals Network, and this feels like another moment that reminds of the power of engaging audiences beyond the traditional podcast format. Help I Sexted My Boss is streaming on MTV UK now, while new episodes are available on all the usual podcast platforms. Big thanks to Paul Fernley, James Harker, Ben Cartwright for making it happen!

We love reminding ourselves of the myriad reasons why many of our creators get into podcasting and what they have built off the back of starting a podcast. 🫡 Every couple of months we get invited by our friends at Acast to take our podcasters down to Acast Studios London and connect with the team there, and it's one of our favourite things to do together. It helps our creators put faces to the names of those who partner them with brands, and it gives us a chance to chat through upcoming partnership ideas with the Acast team face to face. Last week we took Hannah and Taylor from Drunk Women Solving Crime in for a chat and an Acast Tiny Talks. We got to hear about their favourite guests, a sneak peak at new episodes, and what keeps driving them as podcasters, nearly 500 episodes down. Thanks as always to John Harris Jennifer Dollard Sam Shetabi Josh Woodhouse Max Milner Lizzy Pollott Gabriella Cox Thomas Roach Michael Thomas Lorna Byrne.

We're absolutely delighted to share that our Audio Always Originals network has been nominated for Audio Brand of the Year at the 2026 ARIAs. 🥳 We won't pretend we weren't a little blown away when we found out. The ARIAs are the most prestigious night in UK audio, and being nominated in this category, alongside the brilliant companies it recognises means a great deal to everyone here. To us, it's a celebration of the shows we've made, the audiences who engage every day with our pods, and the whole crew behind the scenes that make up the network of Audio Always Original podcasts Our Audio Always Originals exist because we believe there is space for a slate of podcasts built with a passion for creating brilliant audio content, supported by video, social, live and loved by advertisers. Shows that earn their place in someone’s daily listen or weekly schedule. A nomination like this tells us our hard work is paying off! To every listener, every host, every collaborator who's been part of the network — thank you. Genuinely. Fingers crossed for the night itself. 🤞

The kids have taken over Audio Always! 😮 💥 To celebrate the fact we have now taken over production duties of the Today with tonies® podcast, we invited the children of Audio Always to come and meet Tim Warwood and Samantha Fletcher-Goodwin, the podcast hosts and get involved with recording some of the recent episodes. The boardroom was taken over, renamed the Today with tonies kidsroom; Sam and Tim listened to ideas for upcoming podcast content; the studio was hijacked, and one crafty child managed to let Stuart Morgan know his services as our MD were no longer required. 🦄 Luckily, the takeover only lasted a day, or at least until naptime, and production duties of the podcast were resumed by Matthew Smith, Libby Hornsby, Craig Edmondson, Becky Green, Kimi L. and Pete Linney. Thanks to Rosa Williams and Kimi for capturing the chaos, and Amelia Connolly and Nick Harnett for helping organise. 🙌 We love the work we do introducing kids to audio, and are very proud to represent tonies®.
