This is NEW2ASC because I never got around to posting it last year. Christine was looking for it, so here it is.I wrote it mid-seventh season, so Voyager is still lost in the DQ.
Disclaimer: The Borg baby was abandoned on my doorstep by Paramount. If they feel a sudden urge for continuity, they're welcome to take her back.

Wonderful and poignant, this story shows what it's like to lose your way, and then find it again with a little help from those who care about you. An interesting tale that doesn't quite go where you think it will, it goes somewhere better...and more real. I loved this version of Janeway and Chakotay and the way they interact. And the ending is perfect! [2]
An absolutely beautiful story that Jemima was intent of depriving the ASC of for some time. Criminal of her! The story is a wonderfully complex portrait of Janeway, a delicate treatment of the Janeway/ Chakotay relationship and a thoughtful and inspired explanation for the disappearance of the Borg baby. It's such a gorgeous piece of writing too - one of my favourite Jemima stories but also one of my favourite Trek stories. [3]
Because we can never have too many explanations for what happened to the Borg baby, or stories in which J/C renew their connection. Nice how both patients overcame their initial failure to thrive. [4]
So *this* is what happened to the Borg baby. I found the J/C kiss and the solution to the "mystery" very satisfying. [5]
Reading any story by Jemima Pereira is a pleasure both for its smooth, stylish narrative with quite a few memorable phrases and for its unerring way with the Voyager characters. In a few paragraphs at the opening Jemima Pereira perfectly sets the point in time in Voyager's journey and how events have affected Janeway and her relationship with Chakotay. The story then segues well into the story of the Borg baby and why it did not "thrive." I like the shifting perspectives and how the two themes connect up as well as the satisfying ending. "Thrive" was an enjoyable and memorable short story effectively told. [6]
Finally, an explanation as to where that Borg baby has been all this time! This is really a lovely story - sad, sentimental, but not schmoopy at all. I love the way Janeway came to her final conclusion about the baby, about making a decision of what to do for it. The result is a perfectly efficient and logical solution - perfect for a Borg baby. [7]
Jemima again shows her understanding of the Borg collective. I like the way the baby's failure to thrive away from the Collective mirror's Kathryn's failure to thrive in her self-imposed isolation. Very poignant. [8]
A gloomy Janeway who can't get over her depression and a Borg baby who misses her cube -- somehow, they turn out to be more alike than one might think. I love the use of color as a metaphor in this story. [9]
