Going through the datasheet of this Ethernet Switch, I would like to understand what does "Boot from eMMC and Boot trace on FLEXCOM0"?

On page 17, I can see this.

enter image description here

I understand that if I connect and eMMC to this Ethernet switch and I give VCORE[0:3] = 0000, the Ethernet switch will boot from the image present in the eMMC. But what does "boot trace on FLEXCOM0"? What's the trace actually mean?

Also, in general, the DDR interface , DQ data signals are not mentioned as differential. But I have understand that from DDR2, the DQ data and DQS strobe signals are not single ended signals. but differential signals. But which DQx pairs are the differential signals for a byte? Any idea.

A series of human readable software execution "trace" messages will appear on the FLEXCOM0 pin, coded as serial data describing the actions of the bootloader.
