The Civilian Marksmanship Program invites you to participate in the CMP’s Monthly Matches.
The matches will take place at the CMP’s Marksmanship Centers North and South in the spring and fall.
Rental rifles and pistols are available for the monthly matches for a small fee.

The 60 shot international air rifle and air pistol competition will take place on Friday and Saturday, 10-11 October 2025. There will be a Final at the conclusion of the matches on Saturday.  A 3x20 Smallbore Match will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 11th and 12th!

Pre-registration is required for the matches. Air Gun events will take place at the Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center South in Anniston, Alabama. Entry fees for air gun are $60 per person. The smallbore match will take place at the Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama.  Entry fees for smallbore are $60.

The Rimfire Sporter Match is for smallbore rifles that weigh 7 1/2 pounds or less with sights. O-Class rifles have open sights; T-Class rifles have telescopes (max. 6X) or receiver sights. Firing is done at 50 and 25 yards in prone, sitting and standing positions, in slow and rapid fire modes.

BENCHREST VMR MATCH:  Competitors may use any As-Issued Military Rifle (Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military) or Vintage Sniper Rifles that complies with the current CMP Games Rifle & Pistol Competition Rulebook.  The course of Fire will be five (5) Sighting shots and 30 Record shots at 300 yards on the SR-3 target in a time limit of 30 minutes. Competitors shall fire from benchrests, or tables provided by the range. The rifle may be supported with one or two sandbag rests, provided by the CMP, that may be placed under the rifle fore-end. A rear rest may not be used. The buttplate is supported by the shoulder. The butt-stock may not rest on the bench or be supported by anything that rests on the bench.  Unlimited Garand, Modern Military or Unlimited Modern Military Rifles are not allowed.

The CMP will be at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility from October 16-23 for the CMP Western Games!  

The schedule will feature Rifle Marksmanship 101/M16 Match, Garand/Springfield/Vintage & Modern Military Matches, Rimfire Sporter Match, a Carbine Match and a Vintage Sniper Match. The event will also include 2-Man Team Match, 3X600 Mid-Range Match, Long Range Matches, three days of CMP 800 Aggregate Matches and a CMP Service Rifle EIC Match.   Pistol events will include the Pistol Marksmanship 101/M17 Match, CMP Match Pistol 2700, EIC Service Pistol, EIC Service Revolver, .22 Rimfire Pistol, Military & Police Service Pistol & As-Issued Military & Police Pistol Match. 

The CMP will also be bringing back the electronic targets for the Western Games. The CMP 80 Shot Matches, 3X600 Mid-Range, Long Range Matches, EIC Rifle Match, Carbine Match and Garand/Springfield/Vintage/Modern Military Matches will be pre-squadded.  *Please note, If you are sharing equipment or wish to fire with another competitor(s) you will need to type in the competitors name in the special squadding request box upon registration.  If there are any other special requests they will need to be indicated upon registration or you may email [email protected].  The EIC Rifle Match will be random squad.

*Competitors that register/pay by September 25 will receive the CMP Western Games T-Shirt.  Competitors that register/pay after September 25 may purchase the Western Games T-Shirt at the event for $20.00 (plus tax).

Please double check the Western Games Schedule or the Match Program as many some events will take place at the same time. The competition features special hospitality events and prize awards.

This match is a 22 Rimfire 40 shot match in 30 minutes with unlimited sighter shots in a time limit of 5 minutes, with a scope that goes no higher than 10x magnification.

.22 rimfire Pistol: Competitors fire a .22 rimfire pistol, as defined by the CMP Competition Rules, over the Pistol National Match Course of fire: 10 shots slow-fire standing, 50 yards; 10 shots timed-fire standing, 25 yards; 10 shots rapid-fire standing, 25 yards.

President's Rifle: Serivce rifles fired at 200 yards, standing slow, 10 shots, 10 mins; 300 yards, rapid fire prone from standing, 10 shots, 70 secs; 600 yards, prone slow, 10 shots, 10 minutes.

2025 Interservice Pistol Championships. 

The US Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) sponsors the 65th Annual Interservice Pistol Championship Matches.  The USAMU will conduct this match. 

DATES: 2-7 NOV 2025

LOCATIONS: Phillips Range, Ft. Benning, GA

ELIGIBILITY: Participants invited are individuals and teams of the Armed Service of the United States, Reserve Components and military academies and commissioning programs.  Entries will be restricted to Open Class or Post and Station Teams.  This is a military-only closed match.  

ENTRY INFORMATION: Participants: $100.00 (Competitors, Team Coaches & Captains). No Civilians.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY. REGISTRATION CLOSES ON 24 October 2025.

REQUIRED: Competitors must update their personal data in their CMP profile.

The Talladega 600 will be held Friday November 7 - Thursday November 13, 2025. The event schedule has been designed to appeal to rifle and pistol enthusiasts alike in order to provide an even wider variety of marksmanship opportunities to competitors from around the country.

Events to be fired will include a Garand, Springfield, Vintage and Modern Military Match, as well as the Vintage Sniper, Carbine and Rimfire Match. Additionally, there will be a Rifle Marksmanship 101 with an M16 Match, the Congressional 30 (Course of Fire will be the Presidents Rifle Match), the Dixie Double Highpower Match (Hearst Doubles Match course of fire) and an EIC Rifle Match.  Other Rifle Events include the addition of two 800 Aggregate Rifle Matches as well as two Mid-Range 2X600 Matches.

There will also be a Shot Gun 2-Man Loop event.

Pistol events will include the Pistol Marksmanship 101 with an M17 Match, CMP Match Pistol 2700, .22 Rimfire EIC Pistol Match, the Service Pistol EIC Match, the Service Revolver EIC Match, the As-Issued 1911 and the Military & Police Matches.  Pistol events will be fired on paper turning targets.

*Competitors that register/pay by October 17 will receive the Talladega 600 T-Shirt.  Competitors that register/pay after October 17 may purchase the Talladega 600 T-Shirt at the event for $20.00 (plus tax).

Each firing point of the 500-acre facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art, KTS electronic target and scoring monitor. Located beside the shooter on the firing line, each monitor allows the competitor to see what he or she fired in a matter of seconds.

This camp is open to air rifle and pistol athletes of all ages and skill levels (although a basic marksmanship and safety class should be taken before signing up for this training camp). 

100% of your donation will benefit the MidwayUSA Foundation youth shooting endowment of your choice, and be matched with current matching programs.

The 2025 Gary Anderson Invitational is to be held 5-6 December, and will be hosted at both CMP Marksmanship Centers, located at Camp Perry, Ohio and in Anniston, Alabama.

The American Legion Postal Competition is an annual competition that is open to any American Legion junior athletes and junior teams. All individuals fire a 3X20 course of fire.

The Aces Postal offers all junior and adult air rifle and air pistol shooters a program designed to encourage participation in the sport and test marksmanship skills nationally against their peers.  The programs also includes para shooters of both disciplines.
The postal can be shot on either electronic targets or Orion paper targets.  Orion targets must be requested from the CMP and will be mailed to participants.  All Orion targets must be returned for scoring at the CMP. Graphic scorecards from electronic targets may be faxed or emailed to the CMP.

The JROTC Postal Competition is an annual competition that is open to all JROTC cadets and JROTC unit teams. All individuals fire a 3X10 course of fire. Each JROTC unit may register as many cadets as they wish. Unit team scores are determined by the top four individual scores of cadets in that unit. Individuals and unit teams are ranked by their JROTC Service with the top scoring teams and individuals qualifying for the JROTC shoulder-to-shoulder Service Championship.  For selection criteria for the JROTC Service Championships, please review the Postal Program.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program invites you to participate in the 20th Annual Camp Perry Open. This year's match will include a three-position air rifle competition, a 60 Shot Standing air rifle event, and a 60 Shot Air Pistol event. The match will be held January 16-18, 2026 at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center at Camp Perry, Ohio.
