Squid Game SVGs

Hello Mrmw, firstly thank you for vectorizing the four Squid Game symbols I requested. But, I would really appreciate it if the vectors more closely resembled their derivative files on the "File history" section; for example the "X" files should have a darker red, and all the symbols should be a bit thicker (this one a lot thicker). This is a minor matter but if they had more resemblance I would really appreciate that, thank you! Yovt (talk) 16:17, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

@Yovt: Hmm, I’m not sure – I specifically watched videos from the series and took screenshots of the symbols, and I created the SVGs based on that. I’d prefer to keep them as they are; I think the versions from the file history correspond less to the original. Ah, I believe you are referencing the show Squid Game: The Challenge; well, the series Squid Game it is based on likely contains different symbols then, my apologies. Now, the sources that have the different form can be seen in the Fandom page for X, and for O. Again, minor matter; the original vectorization is nevertheless an improvement. я очистил SVG-код и заново структурировал уже существующую многоязычность.

к сожалению, всё ещё используется инструмент svg-translate-tool — он работает и создаёт переводы для SVG-файлов, но при этом сильно засоряет их код.

в этот файл теперь можно вручную (обычным текстовым редактором) добавлять новые переводы — тексты находятся в конце файла.

числа переводить не нужно: здесь по умолчанию используются либо английские тексты, либо значения без языкового кода.

примечание: тексты в этом файле ограничены графически, например, рамками и блоками. такой макет подходит для многоязычности лишь частично, потому что другим языкам часто требуется больше места. лучше, когда тексты размещаются свободно и без ограничений.

I cleaned up the SVG code and restructured the already existing multi-language setup.

unfortunately, the svg-translate-tool is still being used — it does work and generates translations for the SVG files, but it heavily clutters their code.

in this file, new translations can now be added manually (with a regular text editor) — the texts are located at the end of the file.

numbers do not need to be translated: by default, either the English texts or the values without a language code are used.

note: the texts in this file are graphically limited, for example by boxes and frames. such a layout is only partially suitable for multi-language use because other languages often require more space. it's better when the texts are placed freely and without restrictions. --Mrmw (talk) 21:42, 27 November 2025 (UTC)

ich habe das diagramm zur Sauerstoffkonzentration in der Erdatmosphäre auf multilang umgebaut

dieses diagramm eignet sich sehr gut dafür, weil die texte frei und nicht begrenzt sind, es kann im prinzip in alle sprachen übersetzt werden, auch in rechts-zu-links-schriften, weil die texte alle zentriert sind (bzw man müsste dieses attribut noch setzen)

normalerweise sollten bilder keine überschriften enthalten, das ist aber keine regel von der nicht abgewichen werden dürfte, ich habe sie im bild belassen

für die umwandlung sollte möglichst die en-version verwendet werden, weil diese in der regel schon in den meisten wikis eingebunden ist - ich habe aus versehen die multilang-version in das de-file hochgeladen, bitte immer die en-version angeben

es ist jetzt de, en, fi und ru enthalten und in allen wikis eingebunden

auch hier gilt wieder: neue übersetzungen möglichst nur mit dem normalen texteditor am ende hinzufügen, möglichst nicht mit dem svg-translae-tool oder inkscape bzw illustrator

 Info ich habe festgestellt, dass sie die kurvenformen der einzelnen files gering unterscheiden - die im multilangfile scheint mir aber genauer zu sein, kannst du das bitte prüfen, ich bin nicht vom fach - danke

ich wollte es eigentlich als multilang-svg erstellen hab mich dann aber umentschieden

es ist ein sehr schönes und wertvolles layout, aber für multilang meiner meinung nach wenig geeignet

der platz für die texte is bemessen und ziemlich genau eingerichtet

The uploading rules changed about a year ago to prevent novice users from inappropriately overwriting files. (For example, replacing an old logo with the 2025 logo.) Only users with autopatrol rights may now overwrite other users' files. (There are some exceptions: SVG Translate allows users without autopatrol to overwrite SVG files.) It should be easy for long-time users to obtain the autopatrol right.

You need {{Allow Overwriting}} if you want other users to update your files (e.g., add translations with a text editor).
