The Yuletide exchange is upon us once again. This is an exchange run over on Archive of Our Own to encourage more fic in rare fandoms. Well, most of the time they're rare - sometimes things slip through the cracks. Like this year? NEWS got nominated. I LOL'ed. And then refused to offer to write it just because the point is rare fic. The person who asked for NEWS needs to be bitchslapped for being a dirty cheater but that's neither here nor there.

Anyhow, I really love participating in this exchange. This will be my fourth year! I've previously written fic for Psych, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and NatsuNiji for this exchange. Hint hint - I am offering to write Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de AND Bartender fic so if you're interested in Butler Sho or Bartender Aiba fic, I suggest you sign up and maybe you'll be matched with me LOL. You need to have an AO3 account to participate, but you can get one pretty easily from the mods if you don't have one. But anyhow, this post is mostly to say what I've actually asked for. Dear author, I used my signup to really give you all the prompts/details/interests I had, just in case you come looking for any additional insights here in my journal. The lovely ohmiya_sg mentioned some fic thing that was going on where people write short fics about fandoms they aren't familiar with, and that made me want to just write a bit in general. Aside from working patiently on my je_hols, I don't have anything to work on until Yuletide gets started so I thought I'd start my own little writing post here since what I struggle with the most is keeping things succinct. You may have noticed my inability to keep stories short (if you have ever read something I've written).

So let me introduce

The Arashi Invades Your Western TV Set Short Fic-a-Thon!!

I really could name things better. But anyhow.

The Arashi Invades Your Western TV Set Short Fic-a-Thon encourages you, the viewers at home to provide me with the following information and I'll try to write something short that puts Arashi in that western TV show setting. And by "western" I mean that I want to write the boys in a scenario of an American or British show. Because I'm from America so deal with it. It'll be especially funny if it's a show I don't really watch or something that makes absolutely no sense for Arashi to take part in.

As the author I have the option of making it a crossover between original cast and Arashi or making Arashi take over the roles of the original characters. I also reserve the option to include other JE boys as fits the scenario.

What happens? Prince Jun discovers that Nino is a sorcerer

What happens? Shit gets real when Aiba meets David Caruso

MADAME JAMIE'S JOHNNY'S PREDICTIONS FOR 2010

I don't care if 2010 is still over a month away. Suck my dick. I dug the crystal ball out from my box of X-Files trading cards and fourth grade spelling bee trophies - let's light some incense and commune with the spirits beyond. Madame Jamie's using this post to predict some shit for the guys of Johnny and Associates in the coming calendar year. The spirits don't lie, but they may occasionally get some stuff wrong.

Just you wait. When some of this shit happens, remember that you read it here first in November 2009. Do you think Madame Jamie's predictions are crap? THEN GET OUT YOUR OWN CRYSTAL BALLS AND MAKE YOUR OWN POST (seriously, do this, it's fun).
