For everyone wondering if the game got delisted that’s not the case, the demo is just often removed for reworking and put back again on steam for festivals (as of right now the otome game festival until may 11th). Please go wishlist the game on steam and recommend it so Zakurosuke gets a chance of a more successful release 🫶

Thanks for your comment!

As asuna hiromi mentioned, we occasionally make the demo available again on Steam.

If you'd like to play the demo on itch.io, please let us know in the comments!

I know this might not be everyone's jam, but I LOVED the psychological horror, art design, use of motion! This game literally had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and as a huge fan of Paranomasight, being able to rotate the player character's field of view made for some great tension building!

The game looks really cool—especially the Live2D! Can’t wait to play more!

жаль, что главный герой не девушка, так бы купила игру

I absolutely loved the demo. I can’t wait for the full game!

Very cool horror/thriller concept, reminiscent of the movie Misery, with high quality 2D animations. I've only played a little bit of the demo, however, I have to point out that the English translation/localization is still a little awkward at times.

For example, 「 (………………………………うるさいな。静かにしようよ……」is translated as "............It's too loud. Let's be quiet...", which is too literal, in my opinion. A revised version that's closer to the original meaning could be "...You're being too loud. Let's quiet down, shall we?"

Another one was the option 「 じっくり見る」which was translated as "Watch Over Time", when it could really just say "Watch Closely" because it's to get a closer look at the TV commercial.

Among many other cases of slightly odd wording throughout the script. Not to say it's completely bad, as it seems like there were people that did some proofreading and I understand if budget is an issue.

But as someone who's played tons of machine translated Japanese indie games, it honestly still has room for improvement if you want the best quality English localization. And I hope it does get a little more polish before the Steam release, because I do think the game is very well-made otherwise!

Thanks for playing Severed Love!

I am glad you appreciate the game concept and animation!

Regarding the English translation of the demo version, my budget was insufficient and I could not devote enough money to the translation.

I have received the same feedback from others as you have, and I am considering a complete translation revision for the full version.
