"Synchron" (シンクロン Shinkuron) is an archetype consisting mostly of Machine Tuner monsters used mainly by Yusei Fudo in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime.

MembersEdit
Some "Synchron" Tuners (mostly those from the anime) have a corresponding Synchro Monster (mostly from the "Warrior" archetype) that requires it to be used as Synchro Material:
| Tuner | Synchro |
|---|---|
| Drill Synchron | Drill Warrior |
| Fleur Synchron | Chevalier de Fleur |
| Jet Synchron | Jet Warrior |
| Junk Synchron | Junk Archer Junk Berserker Junk Destroyer Junk Gardna Junk Warrior (Extreme) |
| Nitro Synchron | Nitro Warrior |
| Road Synchron | Road Warrior |
| Scrap Synchron | Scrap Warrior |
| Turbo Synchron | Turbo Warrior |
To get around this limitation, "Junk Anchor", "Quickdraw Synchron", "Righty Driver", and "Scrap Synchron" all have an effect that allows them to act as a "Substitute" to the listed "Synchron" Tuner.
Both "Formula Synchron" and "Accel Synchron" are Tuner Synchro Monsters with an effect that allows their controller to Synchro Summon during their opponent's Main Phase, allowing them to dodge card effects, in reference to Accel Synchro Summon.
Play styleEdit
A dedicated "Synchron" Deck is combo-heavy and aims to perform mass Synchro Summons. In general, they aim to resolve the effect of "Junk Speeder" to Summon as many "Synchrons" as possible. It is heavily tied to the other Yusei archetypes ("Stardust", "Warrior", and "Junk").
Due to their somewhat generic nature, many of the "Synchron" cards have seen play in other Decks, such as "Quickdraw Synchron" (L5 Tuner that Special Summons itself, but restricted in its use as Synchro material), "Formula Synchron" (Draw 1 that can Quick Synchro), and "Jet Synchron" (to summon the now-Forbidden "Crystron Halqifibrax").
Conversely, the archetype can be played with other Synchro-focused archetypes, which can insulate "Junk Speeder".

WeaknessesEdit
- "Junk Speeder" is a critical chokepoint. It can be protected through "Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon", or through other archetypes, but protection won't always be possible.
- Floodgates:
- Anti-Synchro / Special Summon floodgates, like "Dimensional Barrier" and "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo", prevent the archetype's main goal.
- Anti-GY floodgates, like "Necrovalley" or "Macro Cosmos", work as many cards in the archetype can Special Summon from the GY.

Shooting Quasar Dragon Decklist (December 21, 2017)Edit
A Deck that aims to Synchro Summon "Shooting Quasar Dragon" using "Crystron Halqifibrax" from LINK VRAINS Pack.
The first effect of "Crystron Halqifibrax" lets you Special Summon a Level 3 or lower Tuner monster from your hand or Deck, allowing you to gather 2 Level 5 Synchro Monsters on the field, while its second effect lets you banish "Halqifibrax" to Special Summon "Formula Synchron" (a Tuner Synchro Monster) from the Extra Deck during your opponent’s Main Phase or Battle Phase (whilst treating it as a Synchro Summon), assembling the Synchro Materials necessary to Synchro Summon "Shooting Quasar Dragon".

- Dandylion x2
- Cyberse Gadget x3

TriviaEdit
- There are currently no WATER Synchro Monsters that list a "Synchron" monster as Synchro Material, despite "Steam Synchron" being a WATER 'Synchron" monster.
- This is the only archetype used by a spin-off protagonist to receive new members from characters in later anime series, as singular monsters were played by Yuya Sakaki in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V ("Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron") and Yusaku Fujiki and Roken Kogami in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS ("Cyberse Synchron" and "Rokket Synchron", respectively).
