May 17th, 2006On this day in different years

stupid rat creatures!, Stupid

that does it

heart-wrenching wail: I miss my friends!
Not the ones I was spending all of yesterday with. And not the ones that I will see today. No, no, not the ones I haven't seen in a year and a half. You know, the ones I haven't seen in a few days? The ones who have forgotten me and now hate me and I should really have no friends at all? Those ones.
I am so paranoid when I'm tired. I start a new job tomorrow, which would be better if I actually wanted to work, but really I'd like to go hiking and read in the sun and go to parties all summer. Therefore, I have planned to do the exact opposite.
Feh! My father compared me to Otto on Bismarck today.

edit: "Monday, May 22: Peter Rock and Rachel Sherman. Reed professor Rock reads from his latest collection of unsettling short stories, The Unsettling. New Yorker Rachel Sherman [reads from her book, too]. Powell's on Hawthorne, 3723 SE Hawthorne Blvd., 7:30 pm. Free."

What? Yes. We ought to mob the place. I didn't even know he had a book coming out.
