Biography
Uehara Kōji is a Japanese retired professional baseball pitcher who played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1999 to 2018.
He was born in Neyagawa-shi, Ōsaka-fu on 3 April 1975. He graduated from the Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences. He played for the Yomiuri Giants in NPB from 1999 to 2008 and again from 2018 to 2019. From 2009 to 2017, he played in MLB for the Baltimore Orioles, the Texas Rangers, the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs. He also played for the Japan national baseball team.
Since 2020, Kōji has his own YouTube channel, in which he talks about topics regarding baseball in his videos.
