Jesse was born in 1915. He was the son of Jesse Thomas and Ollie Unknown. He passed away in 1987.

Jesse James "Jake" Thomas 71, of 6502 A New London Road, near Mount Airy, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1987, at the Martinsburg Veterans Administration Center, following an extended illness.
Born March 22, 1915, in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Jesse J. and Ollie Gray Thomas Sr. Twice married, his first wife was the late Beulah Costly Thomas. His second wife was the late Charlotte Green Thomas.
He was a member of the Dorsey United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the Quartermasters Corps in the European Theater. He was formerly a laboratory technician Fort Detrick for 24 years retiring in 1976.
Surviving, are a stepson; 13 grandchildren, a great-grandson, seven nieces and five nephews.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Dorsey United Methodist Church, Lime Plant Road, New London, with the Rev. Alphonso A. Thompson, retired Methodist pastor, officiating.[1]
