Biography
Jane was born in 1809. She passed away in 1885.

Jane, dau. (of) James Quale, wife of Jairus (Miller) d. 14 Aug 1885, 76 y 10 m 6 d (b. Miller Hill; married 20 Oct 1831).[1]
In 1850 Jarias Miller (50, b. MA, farmer) headed a Middlebury, NY (Wyoming County) household with Jane Miller (40, b. NY), Jane A. Miller (16, b. NY), Orville W. Miller (13, b. NY), Mercy R. Miller (10, b. NY), Emma L. Miller (female, 6, b. NY), Luella Miller (2, b. NY) [Serrella in data base], Persilla Miller (80, b. MA), and George Gleason (16, b. NY). George Washington Gleason (1835-1863) was a cousin of Jane's.
In 1860 a Jairus Miller (60, b. MA, farmer) headed a Middlebury, NY (Wyoming County) household with Jane Miller (49, b. NY), Orville W. Miller (23, b. NY, farmer), Emma Miller (16, b. NY), Luella Miller (12, b. NY), Lucretia M. Miller (8, b. NY), and Dudley A. Williams (20, b. NY, farm laborer).
A photo of Jane Quale Miller was labelled as the grandmother of Emerancy (Miller Ewell).[2]
Moses Gleason and James Quail were listed in 1810 census in Warsaw, NY (which included later communities of Gainesville and Middlebury).[3]
Her gravestone stated that she was 70 years 10 months, and 6 days old.[4] This does not match up with the 1850 and 1860 censuses.
