When Anna Margaretha was 24 she married Johann Jacob Knodt on 3 January 1840 in Griesheim, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. The couple had 6 children: Jacob Knodt, Catharina Knodt, Peter Knodt, Philipp Georg Knodt, Ottilie Knoth and Wilhelm Knodt.^[1]

Anna Margaretha died at the age of 54 on 22 February 1870.^[2]
