I wonder if we're dealing with 2 Sarah Larkin's, in relation to the birth/baptism conflicts? The baptism date in "The Record-Book of the First Church in Charlestown", (page 209/50) states; "7th mo: day | 4 | Sarah Larkin the daughter of Edward Larkin and of Joana his wiffe - was Baptized." On the previous page the last heading for year is "The yeare-i641- - -". So this Sarah was baptized September 4, 1641 (but that was a Saturday...)

Next, according to this profile we have an entry from the Charlestown Vital Records: Sarah daughter of Edward Larkin (death crossed out) born on 12 (1) 1647 (i.e., March 12, 1647) (Volume 1, page 10.).

I'm focused on the "death crossed out". Perhaps there was an entry when the first Sarah, born sometime in 1641 that was baptized September 4th died. She would've still been alive when her sisters Elizabeth, Hannah, and Joanna were born, but the next daughter born in 1647 would be the second Sarah. First Sarah died (death crossed out) at the very last sometime after the birth of Hannah and Joanna.

Of course, then comes that entry with a daughter Elisabeth apparently born 5 September 1641. One daughter, Sarah baptized September 4, 1641 and then the day after Sarah is baptized, we have another daughter Elizabeth being born.

Not proposing any changes, just wondering if anyone thinks we have two Sarah's here? (Then question is why the importance of a Sarah legacy? Which of the parents, Edward or Joanna, had a Sarah in their family they really wanted to name a child after?).

Larkin-488 and Larkin-47 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicates. There is no evidence that Edward and Joanna had two daughters named Sarah. Charlestown VR and Charlestown Family Genealogies.

Larkin-488 and Larkin-47 do not represent the same person because: There is conflicting information re: dob. Changed dob to 1647, from various records. Extended note on profile of Larkin-47 to reflect add'l sources. Possibly the church baptism is really Elizabeth (not Sarah) who was b. in 1641. Or possibly there was a dau. Sarah baptized in 1641 who died before 1647.
