Biography

James Nathaniel Kerr was born in about 1750. He died in 1807 in Iredell County, North Carolina. He owned six slaves in 1790.[1]

According to Homer Keever[2], James Kerr was one of the commissioners that set the dividing line that separated Iredell and Rowan county in 1788. Others included Edward Harris, John Brawley, Sr. and Bazil Gaither. They completed their work by Jul 5, 1789.
