Biography
Antipas was born in Leicester, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony on 19 Aug 1746.[1] He is the fifth born child and third son of Isaac Howe and Prudence Howe.[2] He married on 20 Jan. 1782 in Hardwick Worcester, Massachusetts, Joanna Lawrence,[3] daughter of Joshua Lawrence and Jane Haskell, born in Rochester, Mass. They lived a few years in Swanzey, N. H., where his first two children were born, then they moved to Shutesbury, Mass.; later (by 1812) they went to New York State, and they appear to have lived in Truxton, where he died in March 1833. He was a farmer, and was a soldier in the Revolutionary war.[4] They had 5 children. She died in Bertrand, Berrien Co., Michigan, while living with son Frederick's family.[5]
