Biography
Born in Wendell, Massachusetts 16 March 1812. He married first Irene C. Haynes, daughter of William and Lucy (Andersen) Haynes. They had two children, George Harrison Howe, born about 1840 and killed in battle 30 July 1864, and Larene Emiline Howe, born in Wales, Massachusetts 21 Aug 1844. She married Timothy D. Potter of Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Irene died 9 July 1845.
He married second, intentions 6 July 1846, Lucy Ann Hubbard. She died 12 May 1860.
He married third Mary Matilda Steele 8 Dec 1862. He is listed as husband in her death record in 1913.[1] He appears with her in the 1880 census for Bolton, Connecticut along with son George S. Howe, born in 1864, not long after his older brother George Harrison Howe was killed in the Civil War.[2]
He lived in Wale and Palmer, Massachusetts and in Bolton, Connecticut. There were probably more children.[3]
He died between 1880 and 1900, when Mary appeared living with her sister in Springfield, Massachusetts as a widow.[4]
