Biography
Elizabeth Howe was born to Joseph Howe of Lynn and Mary Needham, daughter of Edmund and Joan Needham, about 1647/48 in Essex County, Massachusetts. Elizabeth's father died in 1650 and his will of February 10 1650 made bequests to his mother How and to my wife until "the child Elizabeth How of my body be 18 years .."
Elizabeth Howe married four times: first, to Benjamin Chadwell in 1666; second to John Jewett in 1681; third, in 1716, to Deacon Ezekiel Jewett; and fourth, in 1723, to Ensign Andrew Stickney.
Essex County Deed, 21 February 1714: "Elizabeth Jewett widow of John Jewett of Rowley dec'd & formerly widow of Benjamin Chadwell of Lynn and only child of Joseph How of Lynn unto (her) son Samuel Chadwell .. all rights in commons of Lynn belonging to her father or late husband.."
Elizabeth Howe Chadwell Jewett Stickney died sometime after 1727 - the date of Ensign Andrew Stickney's death in Rowley, Massachusetts. She may have lived until 1738 - per Rowley Deaths " ______ widow Stickney, 1738."
