Elaine Emmert sent me the information on Joseph and his children, the father and siblings of Catherine George. Elaine Writes:

• Pension Files state birth year and county, death, marriage and children, "While a resident of Hampshire county, VA, Joseph George served two tours of three months each as a private in the Virginia troops, first in 1781, three months in Capt. James Cunningham's company, during which he marched from Romney, VA to Winchester, thence to Williamsburg, where he was stationed until after Cornwallis arrived at Yorktown; and from shortly after his return home, three months in Captain Stevenson's company, engaged in guarding the prisoners taken at Yorktown and confined at Winchester."

• Hardy VA militia, pension started 1834, age 73

• 1820 Census for Grant county- 7 in family
