Biography

Strong Bear was Crow.

Shared family trees indicate that Strong Bear Inside the Mouth was born to Crooked Face, and Strikes Back Beside the Water around 1830 in Colorado or Montana.

He was recorded in the Official Register of the United States, Containing a List of Officers and Employees in the Civil, Military, and Naval Service ^[1].

In records he is sometimes recorded simply as Strong Bear. He married Strikes by the Side of the Water and had four children: Woman Who Went into the Cloud "Margueretta Strong Bear", John White Man Runs Him, Half Bull White (Curley - scout to Custer), and possibly a girl named Horse^[2]. His death is unknown.
