Philip Cook was born 16 Oct 1813 in Lincoln County, North Carolina to John Cook and Mary Whetstine.
Marriage
Philip (age 21) married Sally Whetstine (age 18) on July 25, 1834 in Morgan County, Indiana. Sally passed away Feb 1845 in Morgan, Indiana, United States. [1]

Death
Philip Cook passed away 11 March 1895 and is buried in Greenleaf Cemetery, Greenleaf, Washington, Kansas. [3]

Phil and Barbara Cook Family Notes
Philip Cook and Barbara Reedy Cook lived in Indiana, Iowa, Missouri coming to Barnes, Kansas around 1866.
Philip Cook died on March 11, 1896 when he was 81 years of age in Barnes, Washington County, Kansas.
Sally Whetstine (abt.1816-abt.1845) passed away Feb 1845 in Morgan, Indiana, United States.
Barbara (Reedy) Cook (1825-1889) died on February 11,1889 when she was 64 years of age at Greenleaf, Washington County, Kansas.
Their 2 daughters:
Delilah married Fritz Russman (Lon's father);
Martha married Ed Houdan;
and 5 sons:
Peter married (1st) Agnes Raines, and (2nd) Lucinda Rosebaugh;
Emanuel married Nancy Raines;
Philip married Phoebe Fielder;
John married first wife Hattie and second wife Vennia;
Grant married Belle Dabymple;
Enoch married Alice Brown.
Emanuel died in Oklahoma near Okeen, Delilah in Oklahoma and Martha in Blue Rapids, Marshall County, Kansas.
Cook Family History
When John died he had unpaid bill. The Sheriff sold 40 of his 80 acres for $105.11 to settle his debt. The sale of these 40 acres listed all of John's children.
John's son, Philip, married a few months after his father's death. In 1853, Philip was the Justice of the Peace when he sold his own 40 acres farm and the remaining 40 acres of his fathers' 80 acres farm.
Christopher's son, Philip, was also a Justice of the Peace in Morgan County at one time. Several descendants of David, John and Christopher Cook moved to Iowa, then Missouri and eventually settled in Washington County, Kansas.
William II and Nancy Cannady Reedy had a daughter by the name of Barbara Reedy. The 1850 Federal Census report shows Philip Cook and Barbara living in Washington Township, Morgan County, Indiana. This same census shows William II and Mariah Coons( Williams' second wife) living in the same area.
Philip and Barbara moved to Washington County, Iowa in 1854. In 1856, they moved to Harrison County, Missouri.
William II and Mariah Reedy also moved to Missouri in 1856. That year Elizabeth Cook, daughter of Philip Cook and Sally "Millie" Whetstine, married Ezekiel Reedy I, son of William II and Nancy (Cannady) Reedy, in Harrison County, Missouri.
William II and Mariah(Cannady) Reedy moved to Marshall County, Kansas around 1857. Philip and Barbara Cook, Ezekiel I and Elizabeth Reedy remained in Harrison Country, Missouri. In about 1866, Philip and Barbara Cook, Ezekiel I and Elizabeth Reedy moved to Washington County, Kansas. Their farms, as show in the country records, were both in Little Blue Township near Ballard's Falls, Washington County, Kansas.
