Gerald Cecil Chubb (1886)

Biography

Gerald Cecil Chubb, son of Charles Chubb and Eleanor Esther Mary Swainson.^[1] He married Margaret Spence Goodeve in 1912 in Rossland, BC while he was a banker in Enderley, BC.^[2]

Goodeve-Chubb Marriage:^[3] At St. George's church, Rossland, Thursday afternoon, Miss Margaret Spence Goodeve daughter of Mr. A. S. Goodeve, Canadian Railway Commissioner, was married to Gerald Cecil Chubb, son of Charles Chubb of Wallaceburg, Ont. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very charming in a beautiful gown of cream satin with a real lace overdress. She wore a beautiful pearl and diamond pendant, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of white flowers, she was attended by her sister, Miss Myra M. Goodeve, in a lovely imported gown of kings blue velvet. The best man was Harry T. Goodeve. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a platinum and rhinestone pendant and a pearl tie pin to the best man. Mrs. A. S. Goodeve, the mother of the bride, was charmingly gowned in pale grey corded silk, with grey silk marquisette. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. I S. St. G. Smythe of Trail.
