Description
The museum at Frederiksborg labelled this work as a painting by Nicolaus Andreae. The trustworthy Kunstindeks Danmark saw it as a work by an unknown artist, but noted that Andreae (who came to Copenhagen in 1605) used it as basis for his copper etching of the King in 1606.
