America’s families are enduring unimaginable heartbreak from two intertwined crises: the deadly flood of fentanyl and other synthetic opioids poisoning communities, and the preventable crimes committed by individuals who entered the country illegally. Parents have buried children who believed they were taking a legitimate pill or were unknowingly given a lethal dose—Andrew found shot up with illicit fentanyl and dumped far from home; Devin, 19, poisoned by a counterfeit pill via Snapchat; Marshall, killed by a repeat-offender drunk driver who was an illegal alien previously deported multiple times; an eight-year-old granddaughter Mora run over by a truck driven by an illegal alien with an outstanding warrant; a veteran’s son killed by an undocumented drunk driver; and countless others—sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and fiancés—lost to overdoses or hit-and-run tragedies that shattered dreams of marriage, grandchildren, and ordinary American lives. These are not isolated incidents. Fentanyl has driven overdose deaths to historic highs in recent years, while families recount loved ones struck down by repeat DUI offenders, murderers, and others who should never have been here, often after prior deportations.
My son, Andrew, died in Knox County, Tennessee on September 23, 2022 from toxic poisoning, Acute fentanyl intoxication, as confirmed by his official death certificate and autopsy report. Andrew was missing for 5 days before his body was found dumped on a gravel driveway in the middle of nowhere approximately 500 miles from his hometown Monroe Ml, he was shot up with fentanyl, Illicitly manufactured fentanyl and fentanyl analogues were the sole toxic substances found in his system.

After serving my country and traveling across the United States, I moved back to my hometown in California to raise my family and give my sons the life I never had. My wife and I are small business owners who built everything from nothing. We worked hard, lived with pride in our community, and believed in the American dream. But that dream was shattered when our son was tragically killed by an undocumented drunk driver. We are devastated. Our family’s world has been turned upside down. I served this nation with honor, and now I’m left questioning how someone who shouldn’t have even been here could take our son’s life so easily.

I am including a picture with this story of my family. The six children in this photo are the children of my now deceased sister in law. She, under hospice care, passed away in our home, from cancer in 2017. Three of the six of her children in this photo, pre-deceased her due to heroin and fentanyl overdose. A fourth died within months after her mother, also from overdose. In addition to these family members, between my wife’s family and mine, since 2005, we have buried an additional 10 family members from overdose. Brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews. We are also anticipating the overdose of others who are still active and on the streets. We are helping to raise their three children now who have been removed from parental custody.

Thank you for all you do and continue to do for our country and nation. I am writing to you because My Husband David was struck and killed last year by an illegal immigrant – Fidel. I am another American citizen in the long list of citizens that has had my life ripped away by horrific actions of an illegal immigrant in this country. He struck and killed my beloved husband of over 25 years. My husband and I have 5 children, and shortly before the accident, on Christmas Day of 2025 our daughter and son in law told us we were having our first grandchild. Not even a month later our lives were forever changed. Fidel was drunk, DUI, ran a red light, no valid drivers license, speeding, and charged with 2nd degree murder. My husband was a wonderful beautiful person.

I am writing to you as a grieving father, heartbroken over the tragic loss of my beloved son, Alexander. Alexander was only 24 years old when his life was stolen from us by a drug that has devastated countless families across this nation—fentanyl. He passed away on December 28, 2024. The pain of losing a child is unlike any other. It is a grief so deep and overwhelming that it feels as though part of my soul has been torn away. My son was full of potential, full of life, and had a bright future ahead of him, but that was all taken from us in an instant. Someone gave him fentanyl, and it ended his life. This is a pain I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

We are writing to ask you to add our granddaughter Mora to your list of casualties from the migrant invasion that occurred during the last Administration. On Tuesday November 11 2025, in Boise, Idaho, she was run over and killed by a truck driven by an illegal immigrant with an outstanding criminal warrant. She was taken to the hospital, found to have critical chest and abdominal injuries, and taken to the operating room for repair. She died on the table. We are devastated. The grief experienced by our son and his family can only be understood by parents who’ve lost a child. She was a precocious, beautiful, engaging eight year old girl with three sisters. A life with so much potential has been snuffed out. We will never get her back. The grief we have is unmeasurable. All of this was unnecessary, preventable, and the result of deliberate, willful, and illegal actions by politicians and bureaucrats who care nothing about the American people.

Dear President Trump, we were very heartened to learn that you had designated 2/22 as National Angel Families Day as my family is one of them. Our daughter, Audra, age 24, was killed in 2006 by a drunk, illegal alien who had already been deported once for assault with a deadly weapon but was able to return to the US. We were living in NY at that time. The “killer” was stopped for speeding 3 months earlier, found to have a forged license, but was released on a minuscule bail as, because as you know, NY is a sanctuary state. He did plead guilty but was sentenced only to 5 to 15 years as the DA would not charge him with 2nd degree murder. My husband and I were forced every 2 years to appear before the parole board to plead that he not be let out of jail. In NY there is mandatory early release so he served only 10 years.

An illegal alien who had been deported three times and had two DUIs in the United States has no drivers license and he went left of center and hit my brother on a motorcycle the first part of August. My brother died leaving behind his wife and family. It is high time that we find these people and get them out of our country. Why does someone who is here illegally have more rights than my brother who was born and raised as a proud American citizen and worked hard all of his life?

I’m writing in regards to losing my son of 23 yrs due to incidental fentanyl overdose. My son had battled addiction since the age of 17. Despite his mother and I being divorced he was raised and coparented lovingly. Myself being a physical therapist formerly a farmer and his mother being a CRNA anesthetist I feel he had excellent parenting but I’m sure still not ideal being a divorced family. Being from the he small town of Murray, KY never dreamed I’d have to face fentanyl and see my son dead in an er room still intubated. This is a national problem which shows no mercy thank you for continued efforts please remember average America is living this crisis.

Thank you, Mr. President, for all that you endured to give this great nation another opportunity to thrive. One would only have to look to the left to visualize the road Americans would be treading without your invaluable support and wisdom. I lost my 24 year old son, Marshall in October 2011 to an intoxicated ILLEGAL alien that had been arrested and departed for driving under the influence “multiple times” per law enforcement in Whittier CA. My only son Marshall died in the same hospital that treated and released Juan and his passenger. He was “lost” into the Orange County CA justice system and never found. Appalling. Juan was never arraigned for taking Marshall’s life. From just one citizen, my gratitude and support to you, Mr. President.

Dear President Trump, I am writing to thank you for the work you are doing, and for the attention you have brought to the fentanyl crisis in our country. I am a mother who has buried her youngest son—a loss no parent should ever endure—and who has lived through the heartache, fear, and trauma of watching both my sons struggle with addiction. My husband and I adopted our two boys and built what felt like a charmed life. I was a stay-at-home mom, deeply involved in their lives, and we were able to give them what every child deserves: a loving, supportive family. For years, though, after addiction stole them from me, I lived in fear of that knock on the door or the phone call no parent wants to receive. And then it came. Addiction touches nearly every family in this country.

On September 12, 2025, my fiancé was tragically killed in Lancaster, Texas, at approximately 6:36 a.m. He was on his way to work, just ten minutes from his job site, when he was struck and killed by a drunk driver – an illegal alien named Diego. Diego had been deported several times before this tragedy but continued to return illegally to the United States. On that morning, while driving intoxicated without a license or insurance, he took the life of my fiancé. He was a devoted father to our two toddlers, ages three and four. We were engaged on December 25, 2023, and planned to marry in December 2025. Just two days before his death, we found out we were expecting our third child.

To our President! I want to thank you for everything you have done for our country, especially on the issue of illegal immigration. My family has experienced firsthand the devastating consequences, and I feel compelled to share our story with you. My father, a hardworking man with six children and thirteen grandchildren, was killed by an illegal immigrant in California while driving to work. He was simply on his way, carrying the sack lunch my mother had lovingly packed for him, when two illegals driving a van slammed into his car. The crash left him t-boned by a semi-truck. They fled the scene and left him to die. I will never forget watching my mother – his wife of 43 years – crumble when police came to the door holding that same sack lunch. My father was absolutely the best, and losing him in such a senseless way left a hole in our family that can never be filled.

On May 12, 2017 my family’s life was changed forever due to an illegal 18 year old that caused a car accident that killed not only my 75 year old father but also a friend of his. The illegal was released after 1 year of us trying to get the justice that we ultimately DID NOT receive. I honestly believe that we did not get the justice we deserved because both men that were killed were Anglo Americans. But that is just me and my families view on it. My parents had just celebrated 50 years of marriage on November 11, and he was killed the day before Mother’s Day. Unfortunately my mom was diagnosed with a pituitary brain tumor a year and a half ago at the age of 81. She is a proud Mexican woman that became a proud American citizen years ago, with the backing of my dad and myself.

Mr President, I know this probably won’t reach , but I pray it does. We were one of the lucky families invited to the White House to stand behind you when you signed the halt fentanyl act. Thank you from the bottom of my broken heart. We lost our daughter Lauren to 100 percent fentanyl and the dealer had been let out due to ridiculous bond and judges in our liberal city. He never should have been on the streets. He is wanted in other states as well.

I am hoping this will reach our great President. My nephew Jackson who was 14 was murdered last April by an illegal Honduras 16 year old boy. In July they are trying to get a turnover from adult charges to juvenile charges. That would give this person a max sentence of 9 years. This process is growing and my sister is suffering greatly. Her boy was stolen from her by someone who should have never been here. We feel unseen and unheard in this. We need help. We need your help. We need to make sure our courts hold this person accountable to the fullest extent. We need justice for our Jackson. We are desperate.

I am the mother of Devin, a bright, kind, and compassionate 19-year-old from Minnesota whose life was tragically stolen by a counterfeit pill made with fentanyl on April 4, 2020. It is my belief that Devin believed he was taking a legitimate prescription medication for pain, but instead, he was poisoned by a deadly dose of fentanyl, after a drug dealer was able to connect with him via Snapchat. Like far too many American families, our world was shattered in an instant. Every single hope and dream, I as his mother, was gone in an instant. I will never get to see my son get married, have children, or be the great musician he aspired to be. He will never know his niece, Khloe, or nephew, Parker, who will only ever know him through pictures and my family’s treasured memories.

I am writing to you with a heavy heart, seeking your assistance and advocacy in a matter that has caused my family immense pain and hardship. My mother, Suzan, tragically passed away following a horrific car accident that was the result of an illegal immigrant driving under the influence. The collision sent my mother to the hospital, where she endured extensive surgeries and treatment, ultimately leading us to make the heart-wrenching decision to place her in hospice care and eventually pull the plug. The driver responsible for this tragedy was in this country unlawfully and was not only breaking the law by being here but also by driving while intoxicated. Unfortunately, the previous administration has allowed these circumstances to persist.

Dear Mr. President, I want to thank you for many things you have done in the last year, but especially for your efforts towards helping those trapped in addiction, and to rid our country of the scourge created by drugs and those who traffic in them. The 5 year terrifying hell that my family was subjected to because of my son-in-law’s addiction is something I would not wish on my worst enemy. Ultimately he ended up losing his life to an overdose of fentanyl. Because the Sinaloa Cartel was operating in Rochester MN, he became one of the many young people who would lose their lives in 2023. I am thankful that we have a President who has the courage to confront this evil in our midst.

I write to you as a grieving family member seeking truth and accountability. On October 24, 2025, my relatives, Michael (71) and Gail (66) of Charleston, Illinois, were killed in a head-on crash in Westfield, Illinois. Their truck was struck by a van that crossed the center line, driven by Edwin of Indianapolis. He has been charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI. According to federal and local reports, he was in the United States illegally. Homeland Security officials have confirmed that ICE placed a detainer following his arrest, but local authorities did not honor it under Illinois’s sanctuary-style laws. These same laws restrict communication and cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities, creating dangerous gaps that put communities at risk. He feared one day those decisions would cost innocent lives. He could never have imagined that he and Gail would be the ones to pay that price.

Mr President and Mr. Vice President: Thank you so much for speaking out against those who violate our countries laws-kill our peace officers and innocent citizens. Our son, Trooper Christopher Gadd ,was killed in the line of duty by an illegal immigrant with a history of driving drunk. Our state doesn’t protect its citizens. We live in Washington and our state is so unconstitutional. Allowing our citizens to be compromised, killed, taxed beyond belief and hung out to dry. Thank you for honoring our countries fallen officers and for fighting so hard to protect them. May God protect you and your families.

Actions to Save Lives
President Trump has confronted these threats head-on with decisive policies aimed at stopping the flow of poison at the source, securing the border, and removing dangerous criminals:
- Signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law, permanently classifying fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I drugs to strengthen prosecutions and disrupt trafficking. congress.gov
- Designated illicit fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction, unleashing broader tools against cartels and smugglers. whitehouse.gov
- Imposed tariffs and pressure on countries facilitating drug flows, launched operations to seize precursors and finished fentanyl, and prioritized enforcement against dealers and traffickers.
- Restored strong border security, dramatically reducing illegal crossings, ramping up deportations of criminal illegal aliens (hundreds of thousands removed, including those with serious convictions), and ending catch-and-release practices. whitehouse.gov
- Signed measures like the Laken Riley Act to mandate detention for illegal aliens charged with certain crimes, protecting communities from repeat offenders.
These steps have coincided with reported declines in overdose deaths and border encounters, aiming to prevent future tragedies by keeping deadly drugs out and criminal actors from preying on American families. The fight continues to honor the memories of those lost and to rebuild safety for the nation. This page stands as a memorial to the victims and a call to sustained action—because every life stolen was one too many.
