Rainfall will raise water levels in coastal rivers

The rainfall in recent days has caused the water levels in rivers to rise in Ostrobothnia, Southwest Finland and in water bodies on the southern coast. In Ostrobothnia, the water levels of Teuvanjoki and Lapväärtinjoki, as well as Sirppujoki in Southwest Finland have risen by about one metre in a few days. In rivers along the southern coast, water levels have not risen as quickly, but the rainfall forecast for the next few days may raise water levels to the level of a small spring flood peak, in places.
