I'm not Liberal or Conservative. I'm Canadian. My vote depends on who I think will best defend Canada. And if I detect the slightest whiff of Trump-inclination, Trump-curiosity, or Trump-envy in either party, I will invite that party to cross the border and don't come back.
I remember Jordan Peterson before he developed a God complex and became *JORDAN PETERSON.* He was a smart and often interesting guy -- who, I suspect, would have had cutting words for the man he has become.
I also remember Pierre Poilievre. He hasn't changed one bit.
This is the sort of thing an insecure first-year undergrad says loudly in a seminar, after he learns that both the Soviets and the Nazis had "socialist" in their names, because he wants to annoy the self-described democratic socialist in the class who he secretly has a crush on.
On the 85th anniversary of Black Ribbon Day, we remember the victims of Soviet Socialism & National Socialism (Nazism).
May we never forget the countless atrocities committed by these socialist ideologies, and may we honour those who fought to liberate Europe.
Canada must
To those commenting that I must be cluelessly unaware that Canada's military is in bad shape.
1/ it was a wee joke.
2/ I have been writing articles like this for years: dgardner.substack.com/p/on-remembran…
3/ as your mother said, when you assume you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me."
Agree entirely. This is an opportunity to affirm a national value of forgiveness. And well done, @erinotoole, for taking on a cause with nothing to gain but justice.
The scar of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy will not heal from the deportation of Mr. Sidhu considering the profound remorse and responsibility he has shown following this terrible accident.

Judging by Elon Musk's tweets, the man is a top expert on every subject in every country everywhere, which would be impressive for anyone but is really amazing for a guy who doesn't have time to read a word about anything because he spends every waking moment bloviating.
Yes, hit your neighbour in the face with a baseball bat, then he when he punches you in retaliation, threaten to really go at him if he doesn't get on his knees and say, "please sir, may I have another?"
This is trade policy run by the worst assholes in the frat.
Calling the university "Ryerson," and having a statue of Egerton Ryerson, and a ceremonial mace with old symbols, were outrages that couldn't be tolerated. But cosplay terrorists? Meh.
There are students dressed up as terrorists parading around the @TorontoMet campus, and here’s what the university president and his buddies are tweeting about: a “working group” redesigned the school’s ceremonial mace to bring it into compliance with its DEI politburo
A tariff on a product is one thing. Do the textbook economics thing. Crushing, blanket tariffs imposed with the express purpose of hammering a country's economy so hard that country is compelled to surrender its sovereignty ... is different.
I can't believe that has to be said.
Australia is widely recognized for its savvy approach to global trade. Most Australians understand the impact of counter-tariffs, and simplistic "dollar-for-dollar" tough talk would only end up costing them.
Wish Canada had the same level of awareness.
No Brit can be neutral in the trade dispute between the US and Canada. Trump instigated it, Canada is the wronged party.
I'd make the same appeal to every patriotic American. Do you truly think it fair to turn on an ally who stood with you after 9/11? If not, speak up.
As a longtime critic of our gross military underfunding, I understand your point; but as a friend of the CAF, I know some folks in the RCN who would like a word with you about the way you made it.
