Or well, it wasn't so much a choice as it was the only path to follow.
Steam rises in the air, heat swirling briefly before dissipating. Breakfast sits neatly on the bed, a cafeteria tray holding eggs, bread, and coffee, balancing everything on the mattress. All waiting on Dex while he searches the bottom of the weapons bag.

kind of weird how parts of your soul are left in various locations without any warning… like yes i’m always at the top of that hill, sitting at the bus stop, in the cool light of the Japanese restaurant, standing at the pier etc etc
