Trans rights are human rights. I'm looking for work and I don't often log in here, so I won't always be able to reply to comments straight away. Welcome! This is my personal tumblr blog, and not a work blog. I sometimes post fandom stuff, and I don't log in here everyday. Aboriginal viewers: please note that this blog contains images of deceased people.

I was being totally awful when I reblogged tweets on twitter and posts on tumblr that wrongly accused Lindsay Ellis of being racist when she made comments about similarities between the movie Raya and Avatar the Last Airbender in 2021. I was also completely awful for reblogging posts on tumblr that said Contrapoints was wrong to support her friend Lindsay Ellis. Doing these things contributed to them getting piled on, bullied, harassed and losing friends online. It led to Lindsay needing to delete her twitter account to protect herself. Nobody deserves this.

I had no right to judge them without any evidence. I had no right to like and reblog twitter posts in 2021 that said they’d be fine and not affected by people harassing them because they’re ‘rich white women,’ especially because they’re not rich (and even if they were, no one deserves being falsely accused of being racist bigots). I had no right to reblog twitter posts saying they were privileged because they’re white (because being white doesn’t protect you from discrimination and hate for having mental health issues, being lgbt women, or being queer).

I should never have reblogged people on twitter that said Lindsay and Contrapoints didn’t do enough research on reducing and fighting prejudice (given how Lindsay and Contrapoints actually do enough research on fighting prejudice and are experts on reducing prejudice in real life).

I reblogged posts on believing victims of online bullying in 2021 and yet I didn’t believe Lindsay and Contrapoints when they defended themselves, even though they are actually victims of online bullying and rumours. That was completely hypocritical, thoughtless and brutal of me. My actions towards them were destructive and completely disgusting. They don’t owe me forgiveness for what I’ve done.

I fucked up big time. For all this, and causing them so much hurt and pain, I'm truly sorry. I'm really sorry my apology is late. I will do better in future, and check my sources instead to jumping to conclusions.

I’ve edited this post on 3rd March 2023 for clarity.

This should go without saying, but don't harass, dox, or threaten anyone I complain about online or offline.

Down in the valley the wind ripped across the open expanse. At the top of the ridge near Mount York Teddy sat enjoying the view, basking in the sun and hoping that he wouldn’t get flung off a cliff in the high winds.

Great Barrier Reef, Australia

The world's largest coral reef system has more than 2,900 reefs and 900 islands over a vast area of the ocean. It's home to several unique species of marine life, and is amazing to see from the sea and sky.

"Down Under, there’s a massive campaign to connect 315,000 hectares, or 750,000 acres, of coastal habitat for koalas in New South Wales into a single national park.

Now, a new logging ban to come into effect will protect 106 “hubs” across 8,400 hectares (21,000 acres) of forest where koalas in the wild are known to congregate in largest numbers.

It was a “historic step forward,” said Nature Conservation Council acting chief executive Brad Smith, describing the area as “the most important koala habitat in the world.”

The parcel is just one part, though key, of the 315,000 hectares that a coalition of conservation organizations is hoping to protect forever to ensure koalas can survive the eons.

Given the Moniker “Great Koala National Park,” the 315,000 hectares are currently split between conservation areas and state forest across an area the size of Yosemite. The GKNP would unify it all under a heavier level of protection.

Koalas need a particular kind of forest biome, one that lies close to the coast where real estate is often coveted. In this case, the 21,000 acres were saved from logging, another activity in these woods.

NSW government mapping of koala habitat confirms the GKNP proposal would protect the most important koala habitat in the region."
