About Blowtorch: I don't know if this is the cause of champagnejoker's problem, but installation is tricky if you have a Mac. I have a Reddit thread bookmarked in my browser that explains how to do it and also addresses the CAS problem, but apparently you can't include links in questions on tumbler. It's called "Blowtorch install for mac help". I use it whenever I reinstall.

Avatar

Yes, and as I know very little about Mac ect, I am useless in that department.

champagnejoker recently asked you about CAS showing the sky but no sims after they installed Blowtorch. I had the same problem the 1st time I installed it. IIRC the solution is to move the files in Blowtorch's Areas enclosing folder individually to the game's Data>Shared>Worlds>Areas folder instead of just replacing the game's entire Areas folder with the Blowtorch one.

Avatar

I never saw this problem, but I know its easy to pic the wrong library to install.

hello! I’ve installed blowtorch, but it’s affecting my CAS. It shows the sky but no sims, and I wanted to ask if there was a fix. I don’t have clickable worlds or any conflicting mods installed

Avatar

It can not affect your CAS. Maybe you have a CAS replacement somewhere? Blowtorch ONLY affects the worlds.

I was deeply inspired by @rivercutelegacy's Ye Olde Finchwick save file, so I am now TOOL-ifying my way through several of the worlds.

Hi Ingeli, I love your infant conversion of the Bioshock crib and use it all the time now. So I wanted to ask if you could maybe also convert some of the EA bassinets for infants some day? By now, EA has given us quite a number of nice, historical looking bassinets (and barely any infant cribs) and it seems such a waste that these nice bassinets can only be used for the object newborns, but not for actual infants.

Especially the new "Bundle of Joy Bassinet" bassinet that recently came with the Bridgerton kits works well for various historical time periods.

And also the two bassinets that came with Royalty & Legacy ("Carved Cradle" and "Quiet! The heir finally sleeps").

And there are many more that I think would work for historical and fantasy games, like the "Beautiful Bows" bassinet from the Storybook Nursery kit, the Realm of Magic bassinet or even the Wicker Works bassinet from base game or the Baby Bliss bassinet from Growing Together.

Anyway, thank you for all your wonderful work you share with us, my medievals sims would be lost without you <3

New Cradles for your Sim Newborns - Cradle Mod Updated, Improved and Expanded

Updated with many more options.

Bella Goth got the Baby Pram when she recently had twins, in style:

This is now a collaboration with Zee.  We will add more cradles eventually.

Put the files in the zip-file in your mods folder.

There are packagefiles for each set (18 of them), a tuning file and the mod to knit custom baby clothing (20 options). The knitting needs Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack, if you dont have that you can leave that file out. The tuning file is needed for everything - but you can leave out cradle sets you dont want.

The tuning file can clash with other mods you have that changes the tuning for bassinets - and may need updating in the future.

This mod replaces the Base Game default bassinet, but it does not change anything with the other bassinets in game. I included a Non-Default version of the Bioshock Victorian Cradle, so if you really, really want to keep the base game bassinet as default, take the DR-file out.

All the bassinets added by the different EP:s are now included, but you need those EP/Game Packs to be able to use those bassinets.

I added the more luxurious options to spawn for Royal and Noble sims, if you have that EP. I also added the cradles to spawn if you have Royalty mod  (Auto-Classes) or Jane Simstens Regency Mod, and will add more to that later.

But If you want a specific one (say, a peasant one in your peasant's hut), place the one you want before the baby is born. Then the baby will be born in it (or placed in it after birth in the Hospital Almshouse.

You can not change cradle model after the baby is born - but you can change color.

There are also some more modern options and swatches, if you dont play a Medieval/Victorian world.

The cradles included:

  • Bioshock Cradle - this is the default replacement cradle and is suitable for most historical eras. Non-default version also included.
  • TSM Peasant Cradle - a simple cradle, bed of hay and cloth. This should be appropriate for all poor sims of most eras of history. This cradle can absolutely be used for your sims 4 Nativity Scene :)
  • TSM Middle Class Cradle - a nice, comfy and decorated wooden cradle.
  • TSM Royal Cradle - a gilded cradle for princes and princesses. These four original cradles from last year have all gotten better textures and now look so much better.
  • TSM Rustic Peasant Cradle - matching my Rustic sets
  • TSM Carved Cradle, version 1 and 2, matching my Carved Bedroom sets 1 and 2.
  • TSM Military Cradle and TSM Military Lionshead Cradle, matching those Bedroom sets - Military and Military Lionshead
  • SDA Medieval Castle Cradle - converted from Sims 2, original by Sims Design Avenue. Matching the Castle Nursery Set Part 1 and Part 2.
  • SDA Campagne Cradle - converted from Sims 2, original by Sims Design Avenue. I included some more modern looking swatches. I haven't converted the Campagne Nursery Set yet, but that can happen :)
  • WFS Big Barn Cradle - Matching the Big Barn sets
  • WFS Bavaria Cradle and WFS Bavaraia Cradle No Deco - Matching the Bavaria sets
  • WFS Nostalgia Cradle, matching the Nostalgia set
  • Cashcraft Victorian Cradle
  • Cashcraft Once Upon A Time Cradle
  • Cashcraft Baby Pram Cradle

(Conversions of SDA Campagne Nursery and the Cashcraft Nursery Sets are all on the WIP-list.)

Unzip and place the files in your mods folder.

If you made your own CC cradle (created as clones of the ea bassinets, with all states and also a debug version), contact me or Zee and we will see what we can do to add them to the mods coding, if possible.

ASOIAF Save File 1.0

hello everyone the Very long awaited release of my save file is here !! this release is of the riverlands , however it does include some of Dorne .

More info and download under the cut

Hi there! I saw you made a wider single bed and It blew my mind! Is it possible to do modify the single beds we have in game (like the HSY) packs and stuff to make them wider? I always felt the ones we have look too thin.... :) x

Avatar

Oh I knooow - single beds have silly proportions. Making a wider single involves blender and also using the rig I adjusted, so they can sit on the verge and such. If you use one of my beds as a template, adjust width as mine, and export my rig from one of my wider beds, then import over the one you edited.

You should probably check out some tutorials for Sims4Studio and blender if you haven't used them before.
