sable is named after. well, sand. its the french word for sand DGHJD like in hourglasses yea .... sable does also mean the black clothing worn in mourning which fits well with my idea that her clothes should be kind of inspired by mourning dresses! tempus isn't very visible here but a lot of their design and ornate stuff is snake-themed to reference both it as a symbol of healing and the ouroboros ....
